I was in Toronto for the U20 WC, cheering on Chile and loved this chant. The city was awesome and just about everyone seemed to actually care about their soccer team. It was a very different city compared to what ud see in the US.
THE CHANT WOULD SOUND SICK IF U GUYS HAD SOMEONE PLAYING A BASS DRUM.
Actually I think it was The White Stripes who have started the song...so everyone else is just as original as TFC fans...and who ever says that we dont have good support is, frankly, retarded. Most of the ultras in Europe and SA dont even watch the game, they go there hoping to get into a fight and be part of that mob mentality..
Toronto Raptor fans always begin every 4th quarter in ACC singing this song. They have been doing this since beginning of this season. So this chant isn't unique for Toronto fans.
I can't even believe we are getting crap for stealing songs... why do you guys sing that gay fire song? Fire, Fire, Fire, lalala. Like seriously not only is it stupid to yell fire but you stole the tune from other teams. RUN FOR THE HILLS! THEY STOLE A SONG!
dam u americans are stupid. every team rips songs from one another. and we are only 4 games old wtf do u expect? before complaining about taking songs why dont u try to learn something about the supporters around the world and u will see that they take the same songs from one another just change the lyrics a little bit
Well, I wasn't even talking about the US but they have qualified for 5 consecutive World Cups. Only 3 other countries have done that - Brazil, Argentina, Spain, and Italy. And we made the round of 16 in 1994 and the quarterfinals in 2002. I would take that over nothing. Thanks
Granted Canada isn't exactly a world power, but without a top flight league, it's nearly impossible to compete internationally. Mind you, before you go beating the Yankee drum, going winless in the Italy 1990 and France 1998 and getting a draw vs Italy thanks to an own goal for your lone point in 2006 is reason for great celebration. What did Ghana and the Czech Republic do to you again?
LOL Chicago came up with the song "7 Nation Army"?
At least we actually have English fans carrying over their chants and converting them to TFC unlike American fans who just rip off Any countries chants and then complain when they hear us do similar chants because they feel ripped off after LOL arrogant and completely oblivious to their own blatant thievery....
Jack White, the lead singer of AMERICAN band The White Stripes is a known Chicago Fire fan and so the fans used his song a couple years ago. Two years ago, AC Milan played a friendly with the Fire and picked up the song to use at their matches. Then it spread to the Italy national team and the rest is history...know before YOU speak.
And Canadians would know horse shit about international soccer as you've only been to the World Cup once about 25 years ago!
TFC's played 4 home games. We've yet to forge any identity or true chants. We're experimenting and supporting our team in any way possible. Maybe you're just jealous that we can fill a 20,000 seat stadium?
Where do you get your numbers? LA Galaxy had around 30K in their first season and have averaged just under 22k All Time. They now play out of the "massive" 27k capacity Home Depot Center.
Are you kidding me? First you rip off England's chants and now you're ripping off Chicago Fire's songs. Can't you come up with you're own material. Canadians..sigh
HAHA!!! Because Chicago Fire and the U.S. are renowned globally for their spine tingling, rapturous and original support at football matches. Since a vast number of Toronto FC Supporters ARE English - It's not like we can be considered as ripping our own chants off is it? MORON! "Let's Go Chicago!"
Better than any american soccer

FYI, LA and NYC had an average attendance of 60K and 45K in their first year, respectively.
Yes, I'm very jealous of your high school stadium

NYC, now Red Bull New York had 23K their first year and average just under 18K all time. That's quite the atmosphere in the 80K seat Giant stadium.
