To answer your question, which a lot has been said about, there are three common reasons for this myth:

1. That African goalkeepers protect themselves this way from the damaged football fields in Africa.

2.Because many African goalkeepers like to imatate legendary goalkeeper Thomas Nkono who played this way in the 1982 Wolrd Cup.

3. The least possible answer- that African goalkeepers need to keep warm because not many balls reach their nets (which is not true).

he is a fantastic goalkeeper ,maybe the second best in Africa after essam el hadary ,really good reactions ...and guys can I ask you something???and I want one of you to answer me...many african goalkepers don't wear shorts and they wear training outfit (enyeama wears and shorts and training outfit...)please guys answer me!!!

arsenal should get this guy, even if he is not brilliant for just 2mill he is a bargain and in about 3 seasons or so under arsenal he could be the best goali in the premiership..............if not for that reason then get him just coz he is better than fabianski

this guy looks AWESOME!! Supposedly being linked with Arsenal, but so are half the footballers in the world each transfer market part of the season. I would love him at Arsenal though to push Almunia because he looks absolute quality. If anything i think he looks better than Almunia
