they think this is the steepest due to a typing error when they were recording all of the streets.

The steepest street is indeed in New Zealand but these guys claims that this is the steepest and I don't think so but I have been to Oxford Street in White Rock BC and have challenged myself cycling up. It's VERY VERY STEEP. Go to a search engine and type steepest street White Rock...
