  • My absolute favorite fighting game. Usually when i go back to older games i get let down because it wasn't as good as i remembered. But to this day it never fails to amaze me how good it is. Imagine a high res 2.5D version of this game, it would be so awesome.

  • I was watching Real Steel today. What a shameless ripoff. :)

  • The music in this game was hardcore, and I absolutely loved how the fighters looked. Great game!

  • Yo man, fuck, man, I played throught this game when I was about 12 years old. One of the most awesomest games ever. Brings back some great memories with my friends :D Thanks!!

  • :D

  • @MobiusArrow :D

  • As with most Epic shareware games it is hard to get the speed of the game right on Dosbox, it runs way too fast in normal mode.

  • @KapiteinKrentebol Open your dosbox.conf file (master one in /user/appData/DOSBox) and change the CPU Cycles from Auto/Max to 14000 and it'll run fine.

  • Jaguar is unstoppable. Easily the best moveset out of all the robots with very few vulnerabilities. Surprising since it's the one you get in the demo.

  • Well it certainly seems to play a lot better than that travesty, Rise of the Robots.

  • Anyone else think that they should have made this a movie instead of Real Steel?

  • @Mrpinkolicious Someone called that movie rock 'em sock 'em robots the movie.. but my first thought was "If they retooled it a bit, it could be a kick butt OMF2097 movie".

  • Most overlooked, great fighting game ever? I can lose hours just upgrading my bot and trying to get hit as little as possible, and then out of nowhere I get my ass handed to me. It's great fun.

  • In hindsight, the way they mimic the artstyle for characters to look like anime look like absolute shit

  • Huh, this one is bit a memory - I played it on my Amiga 1200 on CD ... yes, I was one of the few who accelarated Amiga 1200 with: CD, extended memory and 1.2 GB of HDD.

So few memories of my own woke up with this movie :)

  • I loved the music. Unfortunately the game run on my old comp with very low FPS.

  • awesome!

  • Very good fighting game, playing it with a keyboard gave you so much more precision than a cheap plastic controller!

  • Great game and great music!

  • One of my favorite fighting games ever, I can install and play this at any given time and situation and still have fun with it no matter how much I played it :D

    Great vid btw!

  • I looooooooooooooooooooved that game. And these soundtracks are just pure classics.

  • Oh God...I remember playing this on an old Packard Bell back in the day. No idea why my dad bought this game :/ Honestly didn't realize how crappy it was back then.

  • I played this game a lot back in the days. It was such an awesome game :D

  • One of the best fighting games ever made

  • @Koolfox I wished I had bought the full version back in 94 to some extent. I loved it. It beat those Nes, and Sega fighting games hands down. I really wish they'd do remakes of these classics for the current PC systems.
