  • This advertising bullshit is just as annoying as the Transformers films. Just like when they placed these ads ALL at once in the movie of the first Transformers film.

Mountain Dew,Nissan,Xbox 360 and Motorola. They all turned into robots, movies these days are just nothing but whores now. This is why I watch only the old films and classics because they at least had some fucking restraint!

  • I hate DOGS. That stands for Digital Onscreen Graphics.

  • I'm watching your series on piracy instead of doing my homework. Screw chemistry, this series is fascinating!

  • Should just monitor piracy, have government pay out of tax money and still have advertisements (very small) for more money.

  • 30 second advertisments...

I live in poland... here the avarge is 15 minutes

  • @Mikey234432 In the us depending on the length of the show it can range anywhere from 8-20 minutes. That is just counting the 30-60 minute shows. live shows that go on for hours can range up to an hour and a half or more on say award shows.

  • if those things fucking animate the whole bottom bar. I'd fucking find another torrent that says no advert

  • wtf

    thats not "Footy"... thats "Rugby"

  • lots of people refer to rugby league as footy in australia

  • actually, few people do. most refer to it as rugby

  • @CakeMace Dude... if you play rugby how can you not know its also called footy?

  • Make a podcast out of this presentation please

  • theres plenty of in movie ads, like why does james bond use a sony ericson and not any other cellphones? why does willsmith drive an audi in iRobot and not anouther brand? etc etc.

  • It's called product placement.

  • exactly my point, movies make a lot of money just from those product placements. Even in I Am Legend they showed McDonalds.

  • heh here we have TV licence also

buuut i wont pay it neither does my friends

ofcourse there are inspectors but you dont have to let them in :D

  • Knowing what a great compromise this is for both the consumer and the industry, I wouldn't think twice before downloading the version with the advertising bug. And I'm sure there are many more people who would do the same if they were informed about it.

  • A logo in there would be kinda annoying. It might cover the show, but then again TV recorded stuff has that anyways!

If the producers worked with advertisers I hope it wouldnt change the plot.

  • I'm currently working on launching Canada's first national public access television channel, and I was already planning to distribute as much programming as possible (including the commercials) on the Internet via BitTorrent.

I initially didn't want to add a station ID bug on the screen because I find them incredibly annoying. But after seeing your advertising bug example, I thought that was a great idea! Discrete advertising with no show interruptions!

Do you mind if I try it out myself?

  • By all means! With pleasure!!!

  • Thanks! If all goes well, the channel should be on the air by the end of the year. Once that's done, I'll send you a link to the channel's torrent index.

    Thanks again!

  • Looking forward to viewing it!

  • I don´t get it, he´s talking about product placement right? This isn´t something new, and it pisses people off. And as someone else said, if you´re gonna have a logo on your screen, you could just use a logo killer to off it.. I don´t see how this could work..?

  • Ye, lets get the dirty finger of commercialism into our eye where ever the fuck we look. What about that Nike-logo projection on the Moon, is that coming up soon? I can't wait

    -.-

  • What, are you too lazy to edit that shite out? If so, you deserve those damn logos in your field of view.

  • ofcourse I can, that's not the point.

  • Actually, that's _precisely_ the point. They put ads in, and the mob removes them. It will all be very, very interesting.

  • What about logo-killers?

  • come on now, it just present the peace between the tv and the viewres, this is brilliant...you just want to kill that?

  • More than likely we'd just see longer shows, not more shows.

  • brillant, with skipping the breaks and and just doing a logo at the corner you get like what a few hours worth of time networks already throw out the window for the breaks
