I have Checked and it doesn't work on 4.2.1 you have to click on try a different device go to redsn0w then go to a link saying window if you have windows then click on download file this has to be done on the computer with the iPod plugged in.

i tried jailbreaking my ipod touch 4th generation with limerain and it works just fine.

go to limera1n.com and it will do everything for you...you have to be on your computer though. just search it on youtube and there are some videos explaining it. it is free and does not ruin your ipod like most other jailbreaks

Because you probaly clicked on either jailbreak 2.0 or 3.0 which would downgrade your ipod touch. So you have to wait until jailbreak 5.0 or 5.01 comes out to jailbreak your ipod
