After a long life of listening to great tenor voices (live and recordered, I thought I had heard them all. Well I hadn't. Lemeshev is a new and growing pleasure and I would certainly rate him much higher than what trods our stages these days. His is a lovely lyric voice that may have darkened slightly with age but is always under perfect control. The falsetto finishes are beyond compare.

Yes. My grandparents were Russian émigrés. They adored Lemeshev.
I am delighted that he is very popular and well-remembered on YouTube, and thank you very much for all the beautiful Lemeshev sound documents you've posted, many of which I did not know at all. Good job!
