it isn't rubbish..its the emx/drum machines. get a MPC: ) then you can keep your hands on keys, strings, 'n whateverrr.

Before you buy anything else try to find someone that's into audio engineering/producing, and its something you enjoy listening to, to help you with gear choices. Cuz its really hard to pick the things that could revolutionize your playing in a good way in the beggining... especially the way they advertise and can make money off of musicians..
