good job with the hands - when drawing a pose like this, ive never been able to draw a dragon with hands (not on its wings) without just making it look weird
You're a good artist. I really love how much detail you put into your work, especially the scales. But you've got to remember anatomy. The base of the neck is too small to be able to support the head and the wing muscles are WAY too small to be able to support his massive girth while flying.
When endeavouring to create an intelligent-looking dragon, it was generally necessary to consult dinosaurs and pterosaurs of the Mesozoic rather than modern animals. Do a Google Image Search for Quetzalcoatlus and you shall see what I mean.
Of course, considering that Dreafar is the biggest of the big as far as dragons go, it is unlikely that she or any other dragon of that size could fly on Planet Earth anyway! ;)
You know what you should have done with the feet. I saw that after the feet you put a line that seperates it from legs. this will make is much better. the feet are okay but as you go up the leg make it softer. this will make it more realistic. sorry if i spelled it wrong.
I thank you for your patience; and to answer your question I'm going to add two videos quite soon: one on the 28th and the other on the 29th! These and the rest of the series are going to take place in the realm of colour, however, and thus the wait between updates shall sadly become longer than the two to three week norm for the previous installments. One needs a solid starting palette and a lot of minute detail to digitally create an oil painting equivalent...
im really good too. you are right it`s self taught and you have to really be in a zone to just draw i use mainly pencilsbecause it keeps the art raw.i need a kit to take it to the toon lvl
i heard that you got the donkey kong country soundtrack in the background, which is very nice. something else that is very nice is the drawing, good job.
It's kind of hush hush at the moment, due to it being a deceptively-traditional fantasy work based on some rather mind-blowing secrets. Other than offering the occasional snippet or passage as I did here, I can't really reveal any more other than that it's a novel in the final stages of completion that should be published some time this year!
My drawing ability was almost entirely self-taught through years of practicing lighting and shadow effects and a very delicate touch. I would have loved a tutorial like this when I started; that's why I made this one!

If it is a she, then strike me colors that a girl knows how to draw a dragon. Most of the time, girls mostly draw manga or other cute characters.

I did. You may be able to guess what manner of spell I chose now, and it will get easier as further videos are released!
