  • jesus fucking christ

  • Great ad. Dumb bitch had it coming.

  • How the fuck does this get made in a (relatively) progressive, educated country? How did noone in the MANY people it takes to write, produce and approve an advertising campaign not think "Wait, maybe this is a bad idea"

  • This ad right here. The worst ad. Everyone else has already said why.

  • As a rape victim I find this advert fairly insensitive. Sure, it's going to shock people into thinking about rape a lot, but for actual rape victims like myself it's easily going to give them flash backs and make them relive it.

This ad did indeed leave me in tears while I was in the cinema and shaken up for quite a while afterwards.

  • @FabulousFace123

Yeah, but it might save thousands of women from going through the same thing as you?

  • Does any one know whether whether its dangerous for young men to get into unbooked taxis, like would they be overly charged or something, cos they can't get sexually assaulted??

  • @aussiumo Men can and have been be sexually assaulted. It's just as dangerous for them as it is for women. I'd avoid them all together if I were you.

  • @coz1134

As much as I agree that men are in danger, they are not in as much danger as women, simply for the fact that women raping men is extremely rare due to the logistics of it, and gay men are the minority.

  • I saw this in front of Bridesmaids. Not really fitting.

  • @TheWMEforever Oh yes, nothing goes better with some comedy than a little "slut shaming".

  • @packoftwenty Wow. First of all you're being completely ignorant so I want to point out that being South African does not mean you're not white, and vis versa, so your whole argument is backwards and offensive.

Maybe women are "desperate" to go out and "have a good time" because it's not the 1940s and women, shockingly, are allowed out by themselves now!

This advert just commodifies women's fear of crime while blaming the victims. Bad, TFL.

  • @packoftwenty What the...HELL?

First, where does race even factor into this? The ad never shows the rapist's identity. Second, although I'm married, I still go out for fun. Hell, I even *GASP* go on vacations without my husband. Who knew that "having a social life" was another definition for "whore"?

Your bigoted comments have NOTHING to do with the ad.

  • @packoftwenty Women aren't all desperate to go out and have a good time nor are they all in possession of loose morals or low self-esteem that lead them to do 'anything to get a man'. Like anybody else in the world, they have the right to enjoy themselves. Leaving the house does not give some sicko the right to hurt them and FYI:

The majority of rapes in the UK are commited by people the victim knew.

    Go figure.

Guess it isn't all that clubbing after all.

  • creepy cab advert alright.

  • What an appalling, disgusting advert. This advert seems to suggest that women who get into unlicensed taxis are responsible for their own rape. TFL should hang their heads in shame! Let's be clear: RUNNING UNLICENSED TAXIS IS A CRIME. RAPE IS A CRIME. HAILING A CAB IS NOT A CRIME. FIGHT THE REAL ENEMY - spend the money on CATCHING THE RAPISTS, ARRESTING UNLICENSED TAXI DRIVERS and ask the PERPETRATORS to change their behaviour NOT THE VICTIMS. This is disgusting!

  • giv us a lift..........

  • Wow. I'll remember that if I ever go to London.

  • @MrDabas lol

  • Fear mongering if anything

  • Only black cabs are legally permitted to pick up customers on the street. So all unbooked minicabs picked up on the street are illegal. Cabwise helps people to book both licensed (and therefore legal) mini cabs and black cabs.

  • unbooked ? dont you mean unlicensed ? black cabs are not booked in advance either, does that make them more dangerous ?
