i have man made layerd stone.iv counted 7 layers..red in color that fits to the palm of your hand....it has smaller stones almost melted into the finger grips... with a lage hole in the middle and sharp sones melted into one side of the hole....it fits perfectly into your palm.....any clue on what it might be? i found it skipping stones when i was a kid in copiague long island...
yeah the cane drill seemed to be the way to go back then. Alot of the finished examples I have seen have a much cleaner more even hole. I agree with the last object if I would have found it I would say net weight on it.
Another great video!!. Have you ever found any finished bannerstones!. In a earlier video, you didn't think the bannerstone was used on the atlatl, I agree, what do you think they were used for?
@greatbasinman Appreciate your comments. Future video will feature an elite bannerstone. They were considered ceremonial / each tribe or more accurately a group made one or more , sorta similiar to a flag nowdays
