  • is this a joke!? get a projector smart one!

  • I love enjoying movies when I go to the mountain ;)

  • If you don't take it indoors, a storm will destroy your whole system!

  • NEED BIIGGER TV!! MADE MEH LAUGH SO MUCH HAHAHA ;]

  • That TV is realy small but good home Cinema setup !

  • RO SMALL TV DUDE !

  • T2.... my fav

  • very very nice! see mine too

  • very small screen

  • where is your center speaker?

  • @powerdbyjb

i think its under the Tv ?!

  • Read the comments also the birds tweeting in the background all-around made Terminator2 sound even better than when it was mixed at Skywalker Sound. When It rains listen to how the rain falls in real life when comparing to a fabricated film sound mix in 5.1 or even 7.1.

The rain is the hardest natural effect to archive with precise accuracy, first time and every time. I'm listened to so many films that have rain effects and all are totally light-years off the mark. I'll rate the tent 5.

  • i was expecting a huge tv....

  • LOL TV!! xD

  • HD DVD => FAIL

  • small screen

  • Very cool approach to setting up cinema gear IMO. Many DIY'ers would never lay out ALL the essentials prior to listening/viewing. Just wait to calibrate/critique until the room is built and you'll be in great shape!

  • AWESOME...BUT NEED BIGGER TV

  • what onkyo is that?

  • what is this room?you cant hear the 100% of the sound of the speaker in this tent?are you make fun?is like you have a veyron to drive into your garden...

  • sound is everything!

  • i have that receiver love it

  • Wow, those birds sound so real!! Funny, i don't recall ever noticing them in the movie... not bad for a little temporary set up. The monitor is fine...just move the seat closer. And point the speakers toward the viewing sweet spot. There ya go! Enjoy

  • pritty small tv

  • You should get a projector and a big screen.

  • your room is not that clean, I beat someone can just Jack all your stuff for just ripping the Plastic tarp.....and...Theirs like Wires all over the floor. plus, your T.V is too small for a bigger room.

  • It's a nice setup but the 606 is barely 90 watts, sounds like you have alot of money, why don't you go with an onkyo 806? Or as of this time 807.. Upgrade your receiver and speakers.

I do have one question, whats the song in the beginning? I heard a nice little frequency drop in the bass. I want to hear it with my Polk LSI 7's and Polk DSW PRO 600 sub. :)

I got a vid of them too, we got a 73" TV and 55 LED samsung.

  • Great looking speakers and setup man but i cant help but laugh at the size of that tv LOL!

  • hää? where is the beamer?!?!

The Tv is too small and why is it outdoors?

  • to small!

  • get a bigger tv

  • pretty stupid, the sound wont bounce anywhere, the bass would give such a small amount of boost... keep it indoors instead lol? ^^

  • this is ultra-true Surround with real Flying Birds :D

Nice Vid dud :) Love the Amps and Speakers.

    LG

  • Terminator 2 FTW!

  • pretty cool dude.hope your viewing room isnt that big if is u should go with a bigger screen but very cool for a decent size room.ike the gear

  • I'm assuming your wife got mad at you and kicked you out of the house and this was your cinema solution??

  • sweet ...feel sorry for all these people that leave comments before reading the description

  • LOL this made me laugh ! A cinema setup in a TENT ! I must admit i would never ever ever take my cinema gear outside ! Bad idea dude.

  • If you had read the previous comments, you would've realised it was only a test setup. The equipment only spent several hours in the tent. No risk whatsoever.

You should alco check out my other Youtube video 'Cinema Al Fresco'.

There is no greater joy than enjoying a Blu-ray movie on a 150" screen in the middle of the night in your own garden under the stars!

  • It's great fun for yourself, friends and family. Just pop in a new release (e.g. Star Trek: The Motion Picture ) or an old classic monster/sci-fi movie (or even Alien Trespass) and you'll have your own drive-in cinema (without having to sit in your car)!

  • Hi, in this tent, you can't have a good sorrund, you have spend on a lot of money, why dont you build a cinema room???I think the speakers, amp. ect... impotant in 60% and the room 40%... think about it

  • Dude, do you seriously believe I would permanently set up all my equipment in a tent in the garden?

This was a sound check set up to test the 7.1 receiver and speakers. The equipment spent less than 12 hours in the tent.

(As you can read in my other replies, the tent has since been dismantled.)

  • lol ya i wouldnt do that it would get blown away lol

  • Comment removed

  • u need a projector and a huge screen cuz that tv is a bitch compared to that room which is a beast

  • As you can see in the credits, I have a Sharp XV-Z 200E 16:9 DLP projector (720p).

I also have a 3m x 2m electric projection screen (imported from Germany).

Last summer I set up all the equipment (projector, screen, receiver and 7.1 speakers in our garden for a late summer's night cinema experience. We watched Transformers & Terminator 2 on HD DVD (eventhough I have a Blu-ray player now too).

There was no way to fit the screen in that tent (which has been dismantled).

  • fuck me thats sweet!!! *W*

  • that tv is small.

  • its good but the tv is to far away u need a bigger one or bring it closer !!!! i like them speakers i bet they kick sum bass out

  • do you use that as your little secret getaway lol its amazing

  • how much sucurity do you have on your garden cuz im suprised that hasent been stole lol it is sweet great speakers

  • what song played in the intro?

  • Hotel Babylon theme.

    (= tv series)

  • sweet setup. I have the Onkyo 606 as well. It's an awesome receiver with loads of power and features. I have a quick question tho, how do you get the Dolby TrueHD or the DTS-Master Audio lights to light up? I have the Toshiba HD-A3 HD DVD player and I have 2 HD DVDs in particular (Borne Ultimatum and 300) both are in Dolby TrueHD and I can't get the TrueHD light on the 606 to come on. Any suggestions? I also have a PS3 I use as my blu ray player and it's the same way, no HD lights :(

  • PS3:

A PS3 can't output audio as bitstream, only as PCM.

You'll only see PCM on the display.

    HD DVD:

Make sure your player is setup to send audio out as bitstream (see player menu options).

If you connect the player via HDMI, the Onkyo should automatically detect and display the logo and name of the audio format.

You can also press the 'Display' button (either on remote or reciever) to see more details about the audio format being used.

  • Ok, thanks for your help. I'll try that.

  • Ever thought about getting a video projector?

  • Ever thought of actually watching the video?

    A) Check video @ 20s: it clearly states which projector I have.

    B) Check video @ 1m42s: you can see the projector in the black book case behind the sofa.

  • Oh, er, right. :)

  • y is it all set up outside in a big tent

  • nice
