I have to say that I wasn't expecting a change in the acting of Reepicheep. I saw the trailer and I couldn't tell the difference in his voice. Well anyway it was just the trailer so that's not saying much. I hope Simon Pegg lives up to Eddie Izzard's role as Reepicheep.

I think Simon Pegg will do fine. In the trailer it sounded as if Eddie Izzaed was still doing the voice. Obviously they know what they're doing.

I think that this is a better move... Simon Pegg has the ability to give more comical relief that Eddie Izzard did. Of course, Eddie will always be my #1 pick as Reepicheep.

glumpuddle: i'm actually not too concerned - simon pegg is a good actor and a great comedian, and his voice is closer to izzard's than nighy - check out 'hot fuzz' and 'shaun of the dead' - if they dumped izzard, pegg would be a decent choice..

As for Simon Pegg as Reepicheep; I'm all for it. I'm a huge Simon Pegg fan. Hot Fuzz is like one of my favorite films of all time. (Looking forward to Wright's next film; Scott Pilgrim Vs. the World)

I'm hoping they are just trying to drive us crazy with speculation of this film. Hopefully it will set us up for pleasent surprise. I can be a bit of a pollyanna on certain things.
