DMC4 is a great game like every DMC.But what DMC4 lacks is difficulty.That makes DMC3 look better than it.DMC4 has a variety of combos but it is really easy at all something that won't suit to DMC games(like DMC2 which was easy and a very bad game though it could be a better game).DMC1 is and will be the best ever for me.DMC3 too.I like DMC4 more than DMC3 but DMC3 has some things better than DMC4.

@ChaosShadaki well if it does come out they have a lot of directions to go with it, such as explaining Nero's origins and such, but Dante's still alive by the end of DMC2 so there could still be some interesting story in that route. But in between DMC4 and DMC2 theres still a lot of story that could happen

@MrViperwolf That's only assumption. While a staff member of Capcom may have said Nero is Vergil's son, there's no confirmation that has been made in any of the Devil May Cry series. One could also assume that the image of Vergil that overshadows Nero is due to the Yamato, especially since he uses Yamato only when he is in devil trigger.
So right now, Nero being Vergil's son is not a fact, but a possibility.

How this music play is simply unique, it makes a sence of a demonic precence feeling inside. War of two evils. I love the chorus and how they use there vocals for that ceratin amazing effect. Creepy, evil, and simply brilliant.
If Vergil will be in Devil May Cry 5, then will he still have the same voice? The voice matched Vergil so well. I don't know how you all know all this stuff, but maybe you can answer me.

@GohanAngelo I realize this is a year old, but at this point I pray vergil doesn't show up in the new devil may cry game. He's my favorite character, and I don't think I could survive whatever butchery they perform on his character design

@DaShonuff the new combat system is actually more enraging than the character design. Among a list of many other things, the style bar has been completely removed, there is only one weapon, and you only switch between one of two stances. Your weapon becomes a scythe or an axe depending on those stances, the move sets for both are the same right now, but one is faster and one hits harder. DT launches all enemies on screen into the air, freezes time, and lasts for about 30 seconds. Ugh
@GohanAngelo sadly i think vergil died in dmc 1, dmc 3 was the time before dmc 1, but im not sure if vergil died. you only see his power getting drained or something like that. btw vergil is the Dark Knight that Dante fights all the time in dmc 1
@SkyPhyre2 well the man who voiced vergil in dmc3 voiced Kyrie's brother along with the motion capture in DMC4 so i'm guessing if the rumours of a dmc5 is true wether vergil is a main character or not he will still be part of the game.
keep in mind that most of the voice actors in dmc3/4 are also talented stuntmen :P.
DMC3 is by far the best. But it has to be agreed by all that the storyline from DMC3-DMC-DMC4 is awesome. DMC2 failed, but the other 3 make an incredible story, along with amazing gameplay and you've got some of the best games around.

In my opinion, DMC4 was much to easy. Nero's arm and Dante's extended combos and Style switching took away the challenging formula the series once had.
DMC4 was an ok game, but it cant compare to its predessor DMC3.
DMC3 also had a much better story IMO. I honestly think 4 was just a graphical upgrade and a dumbing down of the core elements of DMC to appeal to more people. If Capcom wanted a larger audience they should just have made another franchise as opposed to fuck up a sequel to a TRULY awesome game.
Well, I wouldn't say they fucked it up with DMC4. I don't think anyone can honestly say it was worse than 2, right? I chalk it up to Capcom still learning the PS3 and 360, so they focused on programming, more than story.

ROUMOR HAS IT!!! the rough story if dmc5 is going to take place after dmc2. dante enters hell to face the devil himself!! BUT since vergil was killed in dmc1 his soul went back to hell, since that happened vergil gains the power of the underworld and soon become rulers and the devil himself. (vergil satan.. holy shyt) so dmc5 is dante vs the power of hell and satan himself aka VERGIL... just what ive heard from capcom forums

*Spoiler* In the extended end of DMC2, you can see Lucia in Dante's Office checking the pictures when a motorcicle stops by the entrance and Lucia goes quicly to check it out, leading to conclude that Dante came back.
