@ReplayingCarnificine Castlevania itself is really great but any GoW game is better than this. This game was more of a "hack and slash" with the occasional "huge boss" which the GoW series made known and perfected. Other Castlevania games can be said to be better than GoW but this one is not whatsoever since it uses the same formula as it but not as polished.

FUCK, that's right, FUCK everyone who starts complaining about this game ripping off God of War. If there is ANYTHING to complain about, it's that this game rips off Devil May Cry! the combat is looks just like DMC, 1:49 = signature nun-chuck move used in DMC. I mean even the scenery, the ice mountains, the green jungle ruins.. it's STRAIGHT out of DMC!

BUT.. even I as a true DMC fan - I'm not complaining, if it looks like DMC, it's bound to play like it, good enough for me! That and the story!

Flame whips as a concept existed long,really long before GoW,the most ancient example is the divine comedy (Dante's Inferno),so you can as well say that GoW ripped it off too.

The gameplay, from what ive seen on the demo, is far better then god of war their is a bigger move list, and the dodgeing and blocking mechanics work better then god of war. Looks awesome shame that there is no comparison to other CV games. its almost like its a brand new series

@ReizFazryLamperogue1 there was a game on ps2 not well known but played like god of war. i lost it but it was called rygar. it is set in roman mythology which is almost exactly like greek mythology. you cant really say its based on anything though cause technology is always progressins so motion flow will change also. im just glad on how well this one looks and the story sounds fantastic. nothin better than a game that has a romancing story to it.

If this game didn't have the name "Castlevania" in the title, I think people wouldn't bash it as much. Yeah, the flame whip was a Kratos thing but he's not the first character in existence to use it.

Its not graphics that make a good game, its gameplay.
