It's sad to say that I've lived in Tokyo for half a year now, and I still haven't seen this place. People always ask me too, haha. I really need to go and see the temple in Asakusa and the Imperial Palace. Shame on me, shame on me!

I visited this site around the same time of year as you, some years ago. It was kinda disappointing in a way, cuz there was very little to see -- not like London's Buck House. Everything is hidden away, and one only caught glimpses. I guess it could be interesting at certain times of year, maybe.

Maybe it's something to do with the Japanese Emperor being semi-divine (unofficially), as opposed to the English Queen being merely divinely ordained.
