JUST SAYING: I missed the whole probability unit because i was sick (strep ftw) I wached the probabilty videos and the binomial videos the day before and i got 84% :)
Those diagrams aren't always useful. I had to sit by this kid in class that I hate three times in a row. The chances of that happening is about 0.95%, which means I am pretty unlucky. Four times is 0.2%. I'll talk to my teacher if 3 turns into 4.
I worked it out differently because there are 462 dfferent ways to sit 2 kids in my class like that and it would take forever to list the possibilities.
you know what that means??? that means, a genius like you CAN make a mistake!! now i'll never....never ever feel shy when i make a mistake in future!!!!! rather i'd try to make myself better for the next!!
@sagaralpha ...umm, nope...its 5/36... 3,2 or 2,3 or 4,1 or 1,4 or 4,4....you can't divide the denominator by 6 without dividing the numerator by 6...so 5/6 is wrong
y is he not giving any formula !! there must be 1

what if you can't draw out all of the possible outcomes, for example if u rolled a dice 100 times. is there a formula to determine the # of outcomes?

Bummer about the "P(8) = 5/6" never being fixed to "P(8) = 5/36" that he meant to write.
Still helpful video(s) in general.
Love the grid!

What???, prob. of 8= 5/6, isn't it 5/36 ?????

Wow, I've seen that similar sum of dice = 7 problem in my math textbook a billion times but that grid format makes it SO CLEARRR.

u made an error p(8)=5/36. NOT 5/6.
thanks though

Actually, P(8) = P(6) = 5/36

Hi. How come you count the 2 & the 3 & then the 3 & the 2 etc. can't u say order doesn't matter and only count the unique combinations?

how can you get 7 on a dice when the max in it is 6????

he was referring to the probability of getting a 7 on two dices....

Great Videos!!! but you made a little mistake on the probability. You said it was P(8)= 5/6 when it should be 5/36. Good job overall
