@LadyBritannica Klay scott or Scott Albert or Celldweller is on the far left with the round shades. In the middle is Criss Angel, they were in a band together called Angeldust. It is also on youtube, I got to meet Klay once at the Cornerstone festival. Celldweller is good too.
@viewbookimpact its a cover. it was featured on a tribute to Steve Taylor (the original artist) can't remember the name..... something along the lines of Tribute to Steve Taylor. lol
Im 13, I hear Death Metal and Thrash Metal and Black Metal and all that stuff and im not religious, My Literacy teacher is super religious and He told me this was a good christian band, Although the lyrics are in the description can someone explain what the song is about? Im only 13 and not very good at enterpertating...
@hc6777 : the artist who did the music was a Christian at the time. The concept of "circle of dust" could relate to us coming from dust and returning to dust - a complete circle. As for this song, it seems to be talking about the futility of wanting to be immortal through media attention. When what we want is immortality by never dying. Christianity speaks of Eternal Life, a life OF the Eternal, as an alternative.
@mowriter You say; "A Christian at the time." It seems to me that Scott is rejecting the stigme & label of Christianity, which I don't blame him for one bit. However, I hear him remaining as a believer in Jesus, who He is, what He's done, and what humanity is offered through the cross. Correct me if I'm wrong, but since the 80s he's been against the traditional, American, lifeless, deceptive, self-righteous, hypocritical thing many call "Christianity."
@jesusisbetter : Sure, sure, and I'm with him in that regard. I just had no idea where his head was at, post Circle of Dust. Thanks for the update, Brainchild is still a BIG favorite of mine.
@mowriter Albeit, what I wrote was what I knew/read years ago. Such may not be the case presently, thus my "correct me if I'm wrong." Brainchild/Circle Of Dust was one of the most amazing industrial bands I've ever heard, secular, Christian, anywhere in between. They were amazing & I am fortunate to have seen them live at the Salvation Army in Arlington Texas years ago. I vividly remember this swinging keyboard he plated front & center of stage. I was hoping to catch some footage of it!
Wow...this is a mest of version...of one of Steve Taylor's most catchy songs... This style of music doesnt match the lyrics... I understand what there trying to do but it just doesnt work for me... sorry

You must be a Christian pure-bred or something. This is one of the greatest cover translations from one genre to another that I can think of that actually DOES work well.
Get out of your old-man pose and join the 21st century, please.
@whoregay hahahaha im not christian and im 17 hahhahah i listen to Steve Taylor less christian songs cause his beats are catchy and this is some Emo shit
the rest know him as klayton scott from Celldweller (solo project) or the band that got famous....
i find circle of dust a awesome band for everyone that is interested in industrial metal rather than some average Emo industrial band like celldweller or any of klayton scotts newer stuff.
i know what it means and said the term emotion as klaytons newer stuff is a lot more emotional
and not all music is emo WHY?
not every band has a singer some just play instruments in a way that is not expressing a persons feelings
most bands sing and they do have emotion i don't deny that but some bands don't have emotion and some bands don't have a lot of emotion if you compared COD to celldweller or preferably anything after 1997 of CODS stuff you'll see a lot of emotion in his newer music
emo is just short for emotional.. not emotional problems or dramatic stuff dude, seriously. .
unless of course you mean the emo 'culture' (faggy kids dressing all black), in which case you ARE right.. those people have some serious problems since faking depressions is NOT cool.
which leads me to the conclusion that Celldweller is emo in some songs (goodbye, one good reason, etc) but more in the way of being emotional (expressing feelings) rather than the faggy 'culture' which he is NOT.

@Lotsoffun111 No, this is not emo. Being 17, it is obvious that you do not possess, in your mind, a valid definition of the label "emo."

you shouldnt use the term emo unless you know what it means. It means emotional. calling a band emo means it has emotion to it, so all music is emo.

@1Dea1th No emo means over dramatic and emotional, but it still isn't correct to label celldweller as emo

For those of you who don't know, Circle of Dust was an early project of Klayton Scott who you'd know as the Celldweller dude.
