Gears of War; great campaign, multiplayer, storyline. Halo; Great campaign, multiplayer, storyline, and has more freedom in creativity than most games. Overall both games are great but should be put into 2 different categories and not compared for their type of game play. If you do compare them all you will get is fan boys (or girls) saying that the game they like is better.
the reason why halo 3 has alot of fans is because they tried to focus on graphics multyplayer and the way the fights are so spread out like trying to kill the scarabs if you gow fans know what they are but i havnt played gears of war yet probabably never wont because they game hasnt given me any urge to play it yet and what the fuck is up with a chainsaw being attached to a gun.

Ok honestly I think they are both fun games, but the community and gameplay of halo is just too old for my liking. I won't deny that it was fun as hell for the first few weeks but after that it kinda fizzled out. GOW2 though is great, though i would much prefer it on PC.
I'm a fan of both but halo got uber hyped and is sorta over rated. Microsoft could've just let the fanbase decide how good it is instead of throwing master chief on every soda bottle and surface they could find.

GoW is more than just fighting aliens like pitiful halo. It has a better stroy BY FAR. It has better graphics, better multiplayer is coming ing Gears2 (clans, freind pplay etc.) so halo fails.

GOW is much better but the stuff you used for halo in this vid is from the up an coming game Halo Wars.
GOW offers you not more vehicles or weapons but they have very clearly been thought about more than the weapons and vehicles in halo 3, i particularly found that halo 3 seemed a bit rushed.

Now as for gears awesome game the graphics are ment to look as real as possible yes and the gameplay is very new it is not solo based its is very much team based with is rare to find a game were team means nearly everything its gaming style and contolls are new and often hard to understand till after about the frst hour or so making younger players discourged in the end i have no real winner i love them both and caint wait till they come out with new

Not gona lie i must say listening to the arguments here is funny as hell but no tits time for my input as for a story line its hard for me to decide in truth they both have a rather indeph story line and for halo if you read the books you get even more insight but gears story is very unique as well game play both have thier stong points and weak points halo gives you more common feel yet has very good team based and splo based play so its a anyperson game now as for gears ((go to comment above))

i think halo is for ppl who dont know how to aim. and dont have a strategical mind to speak of. in a halo one on one who ever gets the first shot wins battle riffle especially unless one dude has only a peace of his head exposed. gears is more strategy and is a better team game halo is a first shot wins kinda game. literally who ever is 1st wins
gears is more intricate and especially gears 2, whitch is going to be more team based.

yes u probly dont do very well on gears i mean ur always in full zoom all the time n even if u found cover A.K.A. something to barly pook ur head out of a granade would take ur ass out so yes ppl who play halo eather cant play with there heads just use muscle memory or like the way u can kill some one while only sticking the tip of ur head out. gears 2 is better because u ether have to stick ur head out to shoot or hide cant do both at the same time

GoW is more than just fighting aliens like pitiful halo. It has a better stroy BY FAR. It has better graphics, better multiplayer is coming ing Gears2 (clans, freind pplay etc.) so halo fails.

I prefer Gears of war and soon to be gears of war 2, just better gameplay in my opinion! Not as an insult, but before i practiced at gears i hated it because I was bad and always died! It truely does take more skill than halo! GOW is not as easy to learn and pick up!

I like both Halo and Gears Of War But i will have to say GoW is better in my opinion.
The fact that its more realistic and its overall gameplay just makes it better for me.

Its all on your own opinion tho. if you enjoy a realistic game with the gore of a real life war (yes i know its just a game) then you obviously go for gears of war like me, but if you prefer a game with bright happy colours and a shield and a talking robot as a pal, then go for halo 3.

GOW is much better but the stuff you used for halo in this vid is from the up an coming game Halo Wars.
GOW offers you not more vehicles or weapons but they have very clearly been thought about more than the weapons and vehicles in halo 3, i particularly found that halo 3 seemed a bit rushed.
