  • Where is "Moonlight, Wrapped Around Us" when you *need* it!!!

  • Pure brilliance.. legendary

  • 30 years ago I was forced to listen to this, and I coudn't stand it!!! I was an apprentice hairdresser, my boss played it all day long! Now I absolutely love it, I guess I found the peace of mind one needs to have to appreciate this music.

By the way, I turned out to become a horse trainer...

  • As to Andreas's albums sounding alike. rakoto is right. I have listened to just about all of Andreas's albums. It is understandable that, because Andreas is usually playing the harp in most songs, some people would think that they all sound alike. But if you listen to the music accompaniment behind Andreas you will noticed that they are often shuffled. Andreas shuffles what he plays as well. I have actually found Andreas's music to be quite diverse compared with most musicians I've heard.

  • Andreas is a genious

  • 30 years ago, I was in my first Vollenweider concert in Munich. It was a great experience and I love this music and accompanied me till this days. Thank you for this memories.

  • hey thats my name

  • I saw him in Kansas City and it was breathtaking. I believe it was not long after his hands were healed - and I Thank God they were healed.

His music is beyond the ears and over the top - fantastic!

  • GREAT, GREAT MUSIC !

  • he has been with me since i was 16 now i am 40, i have enjoyed his music beside me in all of my journey

  • @seaangelvickie very similar story here too, i am now 38, and started listening to him when i was about fourteen, maybe a little younger.... dad had a few of his on vinyl, that we taped on to cassette so we could drive to him... i remember we went on a big summer time surfing holiday that year, and cruised to all these tunes...

and then at night, i would pinch a bud from dad and have a puff, and dream away... oh magic times...

  • @psynapsurfa Lovely story..When we were building our house, after work at night, we would separate the speakers off the boom box, put them on the opposite ends of a 2x12x14 through the top of an 8' ladder, in the middle of the then unfinished great room(15wx42lx30h) take a toke and listen into the night overlooking the lake.. absolutely fantastic journeys around the world in his music..!! I still sit on the front porch in the dark and plug in the earbuds and listen to Andreas on my phone....

  • Awesome!!!

  • timeless..............

  • those wrist bands and togas were really hip in the 80's for namaste movement types. everybody was ready to ride a space ship to the future...taking a bite out of tangerine was like taking a ride through a citrus mountain.

  • This is from the mid 1980's I believe... so light and finally a close up of Andreas playing, - a classic example of his early creative works. Is that Pedro H.? Walter Keiser on drums

  • All his recordings are his quintessential creations....

  • Ahhh...Definatly

  • Recommended albums: Start with "White Winds," "The Storyteller," "Down to the Moon" and "Behind the Gardens."

  • Wrong-o. It's Vergeletto.

    Besos

  • He is actually the King of Harp, and even though his albums all sound alike, they all are masterpieces made by a man who believes in his art. Andreas, long may you run.

  • AMEN!

  • @rakotozafysweden I respectfully beg to differ regarding your mentioning that his albums all sound alike. For example, "Caverna Magica" sounds a lot different than "Dancing with the Lion". Then, later on, he started doing collaborations with other musicians. Please don't take what I said as a disparaging comment; I think the other things you stated in your comment (King of Harp, etc.) are 100% correct and I like your comment.

  • zasviralo momce u tamburu

  • Un maestro! Lo Amo!

  • Love Andreas and his talented band-- saw them when they (remarkably) toured the USA and came to my city! They were fantastic.

  • Out of sync? :P Still a nice share though.

  • Yey, Vergeletto ^^
