My song teacher once told me that the most important thing when you sing is to make other people feel what you're singing about, and be moved by your voice and the meaning of the song. And it doesn't matter if you don't hit the right tones. Flo is such a talented singer and I love her voice so much, but what I love even more, is the way she makes me feel with her music. The way she makes me cry by singing words and when that feeling in her voice touches my heart. That's what makes a good singer.

florence is flawless as usual, but I would prefer if the back up singers sounded more "choir-like" as they do in the recorded version. Here it just seems like there's one back up singer whose voice stands-out and it's like she's trying to sing a duet with flo or something.

@meganbronwen take it from a MUSIC MAJOR, Florence was singing OFF pitch @ 0:13. It's okay though...she's human like the rest of us, and therefore allowed to mess up sometimes. Anyways, I can't wait to hear more live performances from Ceremonials!

@CarnivalBox this is a joke right? Are we really so focused on negatives that we're picking out the ONE note she may have sang out of tune? I don't think anyone on this thread can even come CLOSE to what Florence can do with voice. If she sang a bad note, I don't think it really matters. No one is perfect.

@meganbronwen there was a split second between "live" and "or" where she slightly, maybe even purposely, sings a different pitch than on the record. I didn't hear it at first, but people who are trained in jazz and choral music can hear differences more easily. It was very minor, and it didn't sound bad, so it's really not a huge deal. Especially when Florence doesn't rely on background tracks to aid her when she sings. By the way "false tone" isn't a proper term. You're either sharp or flat.
