Yikes. I've been listening to death metal since 1992, and I don't recognize half of these bands. My best guess is that they're newer, at least when compared to the classics: Obituary, Immolation, Suffocation, and Cannibal Corpse. Of those 4, you only mentioned one. Odd. I guess I'm really "old guard" when it comes to music.

Great list. Im just trying to get into death metal (one of the few metal genres i cant seem to appreciate) and i will definitely be referring to this video frequently to find some bands. I was highly skeptical at first about looking up a video for the best death metal bands because i expected a bunch of suicide silence crap. This list kicks ass though.
