  • Then they whacked Tommy.

  • I like this song!

  • Awesome. If this is the right key or not, I don't know, but it sounds better C# than C.

  • Thank you for playing it in the correct key. It's kind of hard to learn when you see a video and can't play with the original track cause it's not in the right key.

  • Thank you so much! I've been looking for this for a week! Couldn't find it because I had no idea what the song was called.

  • The original recording was played in the key of C, not C#.

  • @Steven197981 all the tapes got sped up during post production...if you try and play with some of the tunes on the Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs record they don't quite match to standard tuning or tuning a half step up or down from concert pitch...it's like that special note in between the two, that nobody knows lol...it's actually quite frustrating when your trying to learn a song off that record..

  • @greatcomedian18

Gee, I guess Chopin didn't know what he was talking about when he wrote/titled the Waltz in C#minor, Op. 64 (one of my all time favorite ditties).

Nice job, RapEye - this is another all time favorite ditty. : )

  • @Pegs56 ok yes i made a mistake earlier C# exists as well as Db and its also easier to write 5 flats than it is to write 7 sharps, but Db is more common with todays music

  • right on time...

  • Thank you Nofrontiersoul. Sorry for your job. Life is getting difficult and the global crisis is creating huge damages all over the world. I would encourage you not to give up playing music. It is one of the most beautiful things and it does not matter how you play, well or bad, music is part of life and will never turn the back on you, it will always be there to please you and enrich your life. Good luck for your future and don't give up, try harder!!! Take Care!

  • Thank you very much for your words rapeye, I will try again in the future that´s for sure...You also take care and don´t get lost.

  • While I´m writing, I´m listening. This music really makes me fly and bring me constant flashbacks.

Also makes me feel so ignorant about arts and crafts, because is a so beatiful creation. How could it be ?

I started studying piano and played for less than a year in 2008, but left after loosing my job.

Really love this theme and absolutely of course Goodfellas as an american-italian I am. Thank you rapeye !!!

  • cheers indeed rapeye your the best thank you....

  • thank you. you can view also the slower version if you are wish to try to play it. camera is placed over the keyboard for a better view. cheers!

  • I can't help but listening to this over and over again! Indeed, you ARE fantastic, RapEye! :-)

  • You are fantastic Rapeye :).

  • so either my piano is out of tune or the original song in the background is speeding too much. shall we ask Eric ?anyway, I check around and some else plays it in C#. In C not a problem... it's easier.

  • The original versions key is C Major not C# Major and still is today.

  • thanks palehorse. I played this without any music sheet, just by listening carefully to original piece and tried it on the keyboard. of course it can much better than this, as it moves to the higher octave with the right hand. however, having the camera fixed on one octave, I stayed on this. check the slower tutorial from me. thanks for watching. cheers!

  • Wow, I do wish I could play with this. This is almost note for note what is in the original, though I think there is one part that should be played toward the lowest end of the keyboard. I am not sure what to call it, but there is that part in the song where there are 3 notes or so on the very low end of the piano., starting higher and going lower and then lower.
