did you kno in africa the labourers put the brick/block on the wall all the bricki has to do is tap into place........pretty pathetic labours are dumd and cant think for them selves
He honed this skill to earn more, so he can eat and survive. It must be sodding his spine up no end for years to come. Thank God you don't have to try to do it. I don't think many of us could.
This guy deserves five stars, but today it`s just great acrobatic show, atraction for turists, TV, youtube, etc... Work eficiency is the other thing. Building some of famous pyramids in old fashion way took more time then whole pharohs life. I watched building of new mill with whole infrastructure(scales, unloading ramps, silos and whole net of roads around it) on empty green field, and it took just about three months and I saw there no worker carrying 22 bricks on his head.
Actualy, one brick weigh exact 3 kilos. The old format bricks(19-th century) used to weigh 4 kilos each, but the bricks on worker`s head are new. However it`s heavy, but strange way to carry something. Sometimes, on my job I have to carry some serious loads, but I`ll never do it with my head. I usualy use my arms and shoulders for carrying loads and I use my head for other kind of work.
As a master brickie with 20 years experience i can tell you a brick does not weigh exactly 3 kilos, they usually range anywhere between 2-6 pounds depending on the style, type of clay and how long its been baked. What impressive is not the weight this fella is carrying, its the balance and skill. Also it is not a strange way to carry a load, I often carry loads on my head, its better for the spine and frees up the hands. Could never do 22 on my head though, dont have the balance.
Thanks for explanation. There is one brick factory in my village. European bricks do weigh exact 3 kilos and they waste them if they are under- or overweight. Yes, great skill, but most of Europeans look on it as a circus show, not as serious work. Here we use forklifts. On my job I carry sometimes sacks of grain, seeds, fertiliser... I can carry two of them if I use my shoulders, but only a half or maybe even less if I try to use my head.
The fact the factory in your village makes 3 kilo bricks does not mean all bricks in Europe are 3 kilos. I am European and have travelled the continent laying brick and certainly do not look upon this man as a circus show. The methods being used here were used throughout the ages to build great old buildings over the world. Santa Eulalia, Notre Dame, the Pyramids, no forklifts were used to build them, just great skill and serious work.
@123TauruZ321 it is tragic, but true.I'm not from Bangladesh, but worked 16 years for 10$ per day...ex comunist countries are still keeping people in slavery...nobody can do nothing but God.I hope he will survive and reach enlightment because he deserve it...the ability of keeping the balance shows a brain in a great shape...
@angetodac Alright, i hope you are better off nowadays :) I for one believe that the only way to better working conditions in poor countries is to improve the governement that rule there. That takes interests from other countries regarding money, goodwill, work and surely lots of other stuff. I don't think we've reached those levels yet...
@123TauruZ321 your freedom is an ilusion if you think you canot do anything for those people...yes,you can, despite their dictatorial governements...all it takes is one single man (or women)with a great vision.they are surviving and this is the great miracle happening under our eyes...meanwhile,you and me we might die tomorrow, but we have forgotten that...Have a nice day...be a survivor!
This is an actual video of a strugling poor Bangladeshi man..i dont get whats so funny here? why people are making fun in their comments? can someone explain?
some people are ignorant assholes. As a bengali, i do have sympathy for them. they are my people. I do feel ashame that I can't really do anything for them though :(
Yeah, we all feel that shame. Except rich Conservatives, that is. They'd cite this man's skills as a triumphant step forward, courtesy of the Free Market.
