Wowza Wowza!!! My husband has been begging me to make dumplings. I just never could get it right. I am taking notes here!!!! Love your kitchen colors ;-) OK....mouth is watering now! LOL. ;-)
Hi Lovey , about feeling faint , you sound like your blood sugar levels have dropped, you could be hypoglcemic , just need to eat little and often . This happens to me also
I don't mean to frighten you but have you been tested for diabetes karen? THis may not be the case but it's worth checking out !! Take care .
I remember my nana used to make Golden Syrup Dumplings and they were beautiful, with custard and cream .MMMmmmmmm you've taken me back in time , i might be tempted to make some this week . How's that arm of yours girl? Hope its feeling better . Cheers
I get a bit shaky also when I don't eat every couple of hours. It's because our blood sugars has drop, that's why we shake. A bit of chocolate gets them back up.
@EdensSecret1 LOL yeah... I think it is cause I use to live in England... :D It takes me back to when I was younger hehe... I live in Australia now... :)
My grandmother made the best dumplings! Yours look really good too. Really we usually make chicken and dumplings so having them with the beef looks good too! Thanks for sharing. Hope you're having a great weekend Karen.
Oh interesting! We make them a little differently... with regular flour, baking powder, butter, and water until the mixture is really sticky. Can't form balls with the recipe I use.... just plop it into the pot of stew and they puff up like fluffy biscuits.
Can't wait to see what yours look like when they're all done!

@craftlover9 Yeah, it's Shredded Beef Suet (that's written on the side of the box) but on the rest of the box it just says, Shredded Suet.

@ashleyandlee Oh - I must try that out, some people dont roll ours into balls either, but that's just the way we have always done it.
