I found a website that you can order DAPHNIA eggs or live daphnia. the shipping and cost for eggs came to $16.32 and will be here in 7-10days. I ordered the eggs since live daphia was an extra $17.95. I'm not in a hurry to have the daphnia so the eggs will do. here is the website carolina dot com.
Aquarium water would work best as it should be free from chemicals and is most like natural pond water.
You can feed them yeast as well as green water (water with microscopic algae) Just be careful not to put to much yeast in at a time. I'd add a few grams of dry active yeast to around 100mL of water. Then add 10 mL or so of this at a time.
Nice one only too far off, we did not get a close up view, also where do can I get the type of plastic mini tanks from?
