for me, Blodhemn is my favourite Enslaved album. I've noticed a big change in their new material, like Vertebrae and Ruun, but if you listen to all their albums, from oldest to newest you can listen to that progression in their sound.
Mardraum-beyond the within- is the album I find both the new and old style merge together, to what they are now. GODS OF BLACK METAL, or DEVILS whatever religion icon you wanna go with.

Read Varg's version of the story on the Burzum website. It's really impossible for anyone but the two of them to know who's account is true, but Varg's written account of the murder and its motives make a lot more sense than the media's supposed story.

to listen to early enslaved shocked me more than early emperor. everyone knew back then emperor was on the head of the bm. but i was even more impressed with enslaved back then. this music coming from 17 yr olds is fucking shocking. even more shocking how they grew up and managed to turn mediocre is beyond me. you know you are medicore when your music is no longer original. when i listen to new enslaved i can think of 30 diff bands that sound the same or better. this old stuff was totaly new

for me, Blodhemn is my favourite Enslaved album. I've noticed a big change in their new material, like Vertebrae and Ruun, but if you listen to all their albums, from oldest to newest you can listen to that progression in their sound.
Mardraum-beyond the within- is the album I find both the new and old style merge together, to what they are now. GODS OF BLACK METAL, or DEVILS whatever religion icon you wanna go with.

But whilst in jail he did go through a period where he was proud to be a Neo-Socialist, you can even read it in Wikipedia, he funded the Norwegian Heathen Front and the Encyclopedia of White Power says he's the founder. Although he denies any involvement, fact is, this shit i read in Burzum,org when he was in prison.

Those Muslims who "blow stuff up" believing that it is the will of Allah are usually in fact acting against His will. But then again that is all debatable as there is no central figurehead of the Islamic faith meaning that everyone's interpretation of the Qu'ran is just as correct and justified. Certainly, a slim minority "blow things up" motivated by things other then religion, e.g. invaded countries? Freedom?

You should read some more about the subject if you think he hasnt. Read the book Lords of Chaos: The bloody rise of the Satanic Metal Underground which has many interviews with him. And Im sorry but someone who murders another person with no reasonable motive is neither rational nor free of hate.

Read Varg's version of the story on the Burzum website. It's really impossible for anyone but the two of them to know who's account is true, but Varg's written account of the murder and its motives make a lot more sense than the media's supposed story.

Ive read it. As I think I have already mentioned I have been studying this subject in depth and am doing a masters degree in which I have written at length on this subject. The plain fact of the matter is that Varg (Kristian) is a compulsive liar and will say whatever he wants at any given time to reflect his current beliefs which are changeable. Dont call me ignorant when I know more than you possibly could about this subject. I have many friends within the Norwegian scene.
