Educational. The basic anatomy of a pop song; in case you never knew what a key change was and thought it was picking the wrong set of things out of the glass bowl after a swingers party.
This has those annoying Stock Aitken Waterman singles that plagued the charts in the late 80s off to a tee! Very amusing.
Oh, and the guy who serves tea @ 0:11 & pops up again @ 3:16? John Deacon from Queen, who was a friend of band member Tony Hawks. John also appears in their 'Stutter Rap' video, in a blue wig.
@DeGuerre Novelty records and charity records often sell well in the UK and Europe. Why they don't in Australia for some reason is beyond me. I'd rather listen to them than the likes of Justin Bieber or the crappy pseudo hip-hop shit that is passed off as "R&B".
DEAKY!!!! <3 ;D

Whist I remember Stutter Rap and Another Boring B Side, this is the first time I've ever heard this. Absolutely brilliant, and so close to the mark.

In case anyone didn't know, the John Deacon bit is a reference to Rick Astley being the tea boy at SAW when he was "discovered".

"[We] should be so lucky"
Ha ha ha, I recognized that song title.

The B-side of this single had them doing the song in a fake Japanese, wish I could find it, it was hilarious!

The only reason this single bombed is because it told the truth about pop music.
tolchok89 1 year ago 33
@tolchok89 22 on my countries chart no.22 is not super good but its respectable, Stutter Rap on the otherhand made it to no.2 on our charts
irishgodfatherchris 10 months ago
@tolchok89 It's rare that a novelty song charts high on the list. Proud to say that it did where I live in Australia, though.
DeGuerre 10 months ago
@DeGuerre it did well because we can have a laugh at it which is the whole point of the song
