I always loved how Rocket was a very clean racer - he was the best there ever was, but he didn't come off as arrogant...in fact, he was hoping somebody would beat him - after all, that's why he set up the tournament in the first place: because he was bored of always winning.

i beat veronica voltage...as a 8 year old, but god she is like the final boss of the game. a test for the best ice level, and pirate skull pass were hardest

dear god...Remember the first time I beat this guy, played as the bat guy (forgot his name) and we were tying for first place, grabbed a lv1 rocket boost and used it right before the finish line! :)

@bassmass1000 I agree, with Rocket Racer you could atleast beat him at his own game(via warps) and you didn't have to deal with 4 rather tough stages, or they are tough compaired to the last 8 you played before Basil..

doesn't help that he doesn't have a trade mark item he likes to get

I remember Facing Rocket racer the first time. He was so hard to beat. it took me many tries to beat him. But i now know easy way to beat him.

That's why I like the GBC version. You race Rocket on his track 1 on 1. Of course the track is different then PC. But it was fun and easy.

GBC is Game Boy Color. There was a version of this game on GBC, but like all handheld versions of console games, it was inferior.

I had the PC version, but now I have the N64 version, now! And of course, I know what you guys mean, because when I had the PC version, I found out that Gypsy Moth's car was the most effective against Rocket Racer, and I won by using a hyperdrive right before he could get to the finish line (and it was right in front of the finish line too ^__^;) ! Good times, good times.... 5/5

Ooo what's the N64 version like? Also I was looking through some old PC games that I have and I came across Lego Racers 2 for PC! I didn't even know I had it! Turns out I got it in a book order at school a long time ago around the time it came out.

The N64 version is a tad similar, but if you're curious, here are most differences I could spot-

Cutscenes are not FMV, so they look like in game graphics.

The Lego logo at the beggining doesn't assemble, and the SFX are different.

The intro is WAY different.

You pick the language at the beggining instead of in the options.

Load times are longer- there is a breif pause between menu navigation every time you pick something.

The menu theme sounds barely different. (search "Jimmy's Favorite VGM lego racers")

Created Cars now must be stored on a memory card (Controller Pak) in order to be saved.

The PS1 version is almost identical to the PC, except-

LONG LOAD TIMES. Load screens show a wheel spinning.

Same thing about the language choice.

Same thing about saving cars.
