The reason for westwood to make that tie in was allot of people realy dident know where the two sagas fit in on a timeline, so they made that tie in to show that the tiberium saga was on the same timeline jsut much into the future

@jinglesaw12 Frank Klepacki mention in an interview that hell march was offcialy ment for the brother hood of Nod back in 1995 when the game was in development ( the first command and conquer)

a last minute change was decided for Red Alert. But the idea of the song was for the brotherhood.

@Flashlight1996 The way I see it, playing Red Alert on the side of the Allies opens the path to the Universe of Red Alert 2 and 3, whereas if you win for the Soviets, you will end up in the Tiberian Universe. Kane assumes control of the Soviet Union, plants first Nod sleeper cells and waits for the meteorite to bring the sacred mineral to earth.
