  • Hope you get tickets, T....have a great time on Oct 1 in T.O.

  • I'd forgotten about another great Canadian band from the 80's.especially this song. I remember April Fool. For die hard fans, they're coming to Toronto on October 1 at the Phoenix.

  • Can you post a better audio quality "Me, Myself & I" vid? This one is pretty good!

    Thanks.

  • They did a great cover of T'Rex's 21 Century Boy

  • They are going to be performing at the Pheonix in Toronto on Oct 1st!!!! Bought my ticket and you should too!!! GREAT band!!

  • I still have the LP

  • ok, driving down the 401 with my girlfriend listening to this great song. :)

    Thanks for posting!

  • Oh yeah thick Canada coming clearly thru. Loving it...

  • saw them live back in 1987, they were great and miss seeing them play, wish they'd tour again, so Ima see them and sing my lungs out with them..one of my Favorites is Big White Cloud..

  • Loved this track. I was in high school in London, Ontario when this came out! Still remembered all the lyrics!

  • This brings back so many memories. I remember playing this cassette on my walkman until I wore it out. I wish I could find it on CD.

  • Being from the heartland (chi-town), I thank the gods for the ridiculously LARGE satellite dishes that we had in the 80's... How else would I have known: awesome music, canada, and mulletts... Seriously, no offense....

  • SIT back and enjoy the music..the video is irrelevant

CLOSE your fuckin eyes and enjoy

  • It's 11 o'clock and they talk of him About the eve of destruction And a new ray gun For my defense A mended fence When my head hits the pillow Am I looking up at ground zero? For heaven's sake I am wide awake The morning comes soon This mourning makes me blue The morning comes soon This mourning makes me blue If a man in the street can get to sleep The city is busy digging graves for counting sheep Then you'd blow him away He won't see the day
  • I must have heard this track a couple hundred times on CFNY. Great song and great band!

  • @patbirder CFNY......What happened to CFNY?? That place used to be the only radio station I ever listened to. Now they are beset by idiots and the usual top 50 crapola… Too bad….

  • @NorthofYou1 more like what happened to bands and music like this....try Vancouver's The Peak 100.5 live-streaming....not much from the 80's but very decent alternative stuff :)

  • @easye1961- Or try Vancouver 96.9 JACK FM, thats 80s

  • @weirdscience85 Vancouver is no longer a Canadian city. it is more reminiscent of India or China.

  • GOD Canadians ROCK.

  • My favourite bans of the 80s so good.

  • Saw them at Barrymores in Ottawa several times many years ago. Friends of mine were cousins to Chris (singer) and we always got in free and backstage. Nice kids all of them.

  • great tune!,. loved it back in the 80's when the song came out. these guys reminded me of a Simpleminds/InXs fusion of sorts. and yes to agree with other posters, it is too bad that they never lasted too long.

  • This song is pretty good too. I like the echo. the harmonies are great. the drummer keeps the beat pounding, the guitar jangles my brain. All great stuff, the words are great too. Great group!

  • snare sound drum was years ahead of its time... FAT!!!!

  • Once in a while I take out "Mending Wall" and give my turning table a spin.

  • Being Canadian is great!

  • @Slick381 Hell YA baby!

  • @Slick381 Yes!!! Canada rocks!!!!

  • @Slick381 the only bad thing about being canadian is our close proximity to the states...

  • i just heard it on the radio....i forgot how freakin good that was. listening to both tapes in my yellow sony walkman in the yellow bus going to sbhool. those were the good days. miss you Annissa !!

  • Canada's such a beautiful country!

  • best band of the 80ssssssss!!!!!!!!

  • whoahhhh I completly forgot this song... it never seems to pop up in usually 80's retro radio segments... they kinda are the missing link of studio rock of the 80's and the grunge of the nineties...

  • I saw these guys open for Rush in Montreal in...88 I think. Great band live too, and the fnas really enjoyed it, which lets you know. If you open and you're getting a standing O from people who weren't there to see you, you're rocking it.

  • Man this song brings back memories. There were so many good Canadian bands in the 1980s-- Chalk Circle was one of them. Unfortunately, they didn't last too long.

  • @Tartarus1969 Actually, I just saw them perform this month at The Phoenix in Toronto with Blue Peter. They were amazing!

  • Chris is a hunny!

  • i have a sneaking suspicion you are a hunny,

  • what is the singer's name?

  • Newcastle's Clarke High School was home to,

    Chris Tait (lead vocals, guitars)

    Brad Hopkins (bass)

    Derrick Murphy (drums)

    and from Poland

    Tad Winklarz (keyboards)

  • check Ebay, i found their CD's there cheap...

  • Hi kurdtss!!Do u have the song N.i.m.b.y(Not in my Backyard)and Artificial sweetener??

  • The pianist, Tad Winklarz is my piano teacher, he is the coolest person ever!! :)

  • Man... I used to listen to these guys a lot back in the 80's and early 90's... Really great Canadian band...

I would love to get their albums on CD...

  • Really good song, but I wish someone would record an updated version that sounds more natural without that typical 80's "tin can" sound.

  • they are from the oshawa area i think

nimby was agreat song aswell thanks soulstace99

  • i remember these guys great songs my gr.11, 12 13 thanks1986,7,8,9

  • I went to school with these guys, they're younger siblings were my age....gotta love new wave

  • I've got all their first incarnation albums on LP. Good memories.

  • Chalk Circle was my favorite band in the 80's. I was one of their favorite groupies. I used to have the Mending Wall cassette (no CD's at that time) with all their autographs on it. Now, I can't even find the album anywhere. I would love to aquire it again. There are a few other Canadian bands from that time that I miss but found on You Tube to my suprise. Like, Harlequin, and Northern Pikes. Any other Saskatchewan people out there who remember any of these bands?

  • have all 3 discs myself.......this song simply kicks ass......nice.....this guy can sing.....

  • Great song. Loved this and n.i.m.b.y too

  • One of the most underrated Canadian bands ever. I was at the ontario place show when a buddy asked Chris Tait if they were breaking up. He sadly confirmed the rumors. Long live CC.

  • Wow.. haven't heard this one in eons...great song

  • awesome song!

  • Yes, it's on CD...I have all three of Chalk Circle's albums on CD (don't need the 'best of' album...and when I went to Red Deer College in the late 80s/early 90's they played there; great show, even if my girlfried has a serious crush on the bass player...

    Good stuff indeed...

  • Duke street records, Bowmanville, ONTARIO!! I miss Canada..Murph was great in the band, and not a bad road hockey player to eh!!

  • Wow, I never thought I would find this on you tube. This was the first song I learned on the drums when I was 14. Love this song !!!! Thanks !

  • Great song...this was actually the same channel I saw it on!

  • i love this... im proud to listen to this awesome music at age 12

  • oh awesome. I wasn't really expecting anything to come up for my search for "Chalk Circle". Does anybody have "20th Century Boy" or "NIMBY"?

  • Absolutely loved this song. Does it exist on CD??

  • The album it was on is called Mending Wall and it was released in 1987.
