  • The only thing that makes a perfect album for me, is if I transfer all the songs to my iPhone. That barely ever happens. It's happened for The Saddest Landscape's You Will Not Survive, almost for Burial's Untrue, and White Stripes' debut.

    Is This It-The Strokes

    Random Album Title-deadmau5

    Hot Fuss-The Killers

    Graduation-Kanye West

  • @NanouoMusic Graduation? The fuck? dude that is NO WHERE near perfect. Late Registration was Kanye's best album. A CLASSIC. But not better than other classic hip hop albums like illmatic for example. Late Registration is close to perfect though i'll admit that.

  • @TheNJ6 I liked it.

you can't argue against an opinion..

  • @NanouoMusic fair enough.

  • @TheNJ6 Thank you... LR > Graduation. It's not even up for debate.

  • My top5 albums (And hey I'm 17 from Finland)

    5. Pink Floyd: Dark Side of the Moon

    4.Run DMC: Raising Hell

    3.Eminem: The Marshall Mathers LP

    2. The Notorious B.I.G.: Ready to Die

    1.Wu-Tang Clan: Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers)

  • Radiohead's OK Computer.

    Even the flaws are perfect.

  • My favorite album ever is Quadrophenia, by The Who. I can relate to the album SO much and it really means a lot to me. Its a storyline about someone very similar to me in a musical format that is just outstanding! even though there is one song on there that I don't think is so great (drowned), it's okay because the album is about imperfection and there are several flaws in the album, which just makes it that more human.

  • agaetis byrjun and In the Aeroplane over the sea.

  • GREEN DAY DOOKIE !!!!!!!! was perfect for what it was and the time !!!

  • Kid A, In The Aeroplane Over the Sea and Lift your Skinny Fists like Antennaes to Heaven are the only albums i know that I'd give a 10/10

  • Radiohead - In Rainbows or Kid A or OK Computer

  • Section.80

  • Japandroids: Post-Nothing

I think it depends on the genre, and of course, the person in questions taste.

  • This is Happening by LCD Soundsystem

    God Loves Ugly by Atmosphere

    Doolittle by The Pixies

    Hunky Dory by David Bowie

    The Score by The Fugees

There is no perfect in music because it is subjective. I'm sure Beehtoven is "more perfect" than Atmosphere but im not about to listen to him. A perfect album to me has only good songs, I've never heard an album where every song is great. Even most great albums have bad songs.

  • @pmizner Sure that The dark side of the moon is a perfect album, so as exile on mais st

  • I kinda hate to say it, but Aenima. I know it's not hipster enough for a lot of people, but it is pretty perfect. The scope of the album is huge, the subject matter was untapped at the time, and it was oozing with originality, passion and vision.

Also there are many perfect albums on the planet, and at least one is almost every genre.

  • Anyone else like The White Stripes' first LP?

  • @TheSmokingRevolvers Nope. You stand alone on that one.

  • illmatic nuff said

  • For me: Shape Of Punk To Come, Pinkerton, The Downward Spiral, The Low End Theory, Sgt. Peppers, Blood Sugar Sex Magik

  • and My Bloody Valentine's Loveless

  • The Beatles- Rubber Soul, Revolver, and Sgt. Peppers

  • Dark Side of the Moon sells 10,000 copies a week, and is the #1 selling album of all time. You can't beat that.

  • Dark Side of the Moon. DUHHHHHHHHHH

  • In Rainbows - Radiohead

Never heard an album that on every single track hit me like this one. I had never listened to them before hand.

There are plenty of albums that are "near perfects" in my opinion, but no need to post them.

  • Illmatic, MBDTF, Enter 36 Chambers, GZA Luquid Swords, possibly When Life Gives You Lemons, You Paint That Shit Gold

  • In Rainbows. MBDTF. Illmatic. Dark Night of The Soul. Donuts. WTC Enter 36 Chambers.

  • I don't think music can or should strive to be perfect, but some albums that I think are near 10/10's:

    Flying Lotus - Los Angeles

At The Drive-In - Relationship of Command

    Glassjaw - Worship and Tribute

Maybeshewill - Not For Want of Trying

  • Paul McCartney - Ram

Dinosaur Jr. - You're Living All Over Me

    My Bloody Valentine - Loveless

    Boards of Canada - Geogaddi

Nine Inch Nails - The Downward Spiral

  • Pink Floyd- Dark Side of the Moon

  • When I say "perfect album" I dont mean that literally, I mean it is a 10/10 which means its an album that I enjoyed to an extent that is really rare. Here are some examples

    Yankee Hotel Foxtrot by Wilco

Music Has The Right To Children by Boards of Canada

My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy by Kanye West

    Funeral by Arcade Fire

  • Californication by The Red Hot Chili Peppers

    purrrrrrrrfect

  • Waving Radiant by Isis - I believe its a perfect piece of spiritual music.

Apostrophe by Frank Zappa - I think it's a nonstop trip.

Just Another Band from L.A. by The Mothers - I think it's a funny album.

    ( :

  • NEAR PERFECT ALBUMS

    Pump and Rocks - Aerosmith

Exile on Main St. - Rolling Stones

Late Registration and My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy - Kanye West

Reasonable Doubt and Blueprint - JayZ

    Mama Said - Lenny Kravitz

  • My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy is my most recent perfect album. Great production, great lyrics, great delivery.

  • King Crimson - In the Court of the Crimson King....pioneering album, Godfathers of prog rock, the end.

  • marvin gaye what's going on

  • The strokes-Is this it?

Noah and the whale- first days of spring

    Vampire Weekend-Vampire Weekend

  • Opeth "Blackwater Park"

  • Is perfection good for music? I don't know, but as a skilled musician I enjoy music in which the technical and conceptual elements were well developed (or at least you can tell the musicians are trying?). To me, I can respect the punk thing, because I've taken the time to try to understand it, but I don't like it. Punk, from a technical perspective is liberating to musicians who aren't technically skilled, but it's limiting to musicians who are. But what do I know, I'm formally trained?

  • After several months of under appreciating background listening something clicked and I realised that The Winter Of Mixed Drinks by Frightened Rabbit is a close to perfect as I've experienced. Very likely now my favourite collection of music.

  • Into it. Over it. - Proper is perfect.

By Surprise - Mountain Smashers is near perfect.

  • Music is just expression of self almost like an opinion. How can an opinion be perfect?

  • Close to the Edge by Yes is as close as I have gotten to a perfect album. The title track got me hooked on playing bass. Thank you, Chris Squire. Every instrumentalist in the band shows amazing musicianship throughout the tracks. It also has a lot of variety to me. In just the three songs so many emotions get evoked each time I listen. The vocals are beautiful and so are the lyrics. It's close to perfect in my opinion. Spiritual Healing by Death too... What do you think Mr. Fantano?

  • Music Has the Right to Children by Boards of Canada is probably the closest you will get to perfect in my opinion. It's not my favourite album, but it's the most flawlessly crafted piece of music I have experienced.

  • American Idiot - Green Day is literally my definition of a perfect album ! (:

  • Radiohead - In Rainbows

  • @squrrilboy

I listen to songs from In Rainbows at least weekly, so I'd have to go with that one too.

  • MBDTF Comes pretty close and so does Illmatic

Ok Computer is still the only truly "perfect" album that I have come across.

  • I don't like the arrogant tone of this video blog. Or the sleeve.

  • my beautiful dark twisted fantasy, low end theory

  • reasonable doubt

  • Depeche Mode - Violator

  • collections of colonies of bees - customer is very close to perfect, i think. every song in it contributes to the same whimsical atmosphere.

  • Aim & Ignite - Fun.

  • Good choices zinboy

  • my beautiful dark twisted fantasy and slim shady lp - imo but hey i'm 16

  • @zimboy08 MBDTF is DEFINATLEY NOT a Perfect album. thats Kanye's WORST album.

  • @AmaZiiNpk ur joking right?

  • @AmaZiiNpk

    HAHA "Kanye's Worst album"

    It's by far his best.

  • Elephant.

  • Anthony is an awesome troll.

  • sign ´O´ the times is (at least pretty close to) perfect

  • IMO, Kayo Dot's Choirs of the Eye and Aidan Baker's The Sea Swells a Bit... are the only perfect albums

  • Weezer- the blue album

every song is perfect to me

  • D'Angelo - Voodoo

  • Comment removed

  • hey man I wouldnt change a thing about that album, anytime I listen to it, its takes me on a journey. Plus if robert smith chose to lend his voice for a whole track on the record and sing in concert with them, then that's a fairly important seal of approval there, in and of itself.

  • i forgot one : ). April Wine : Harder, Faster
