Do you know how to add text as a caption onto a gif?

And I mean just to certain frames. I can add text but it shows up on every frame or only the 1st frame.

Create a separate text layer and then on frames on you want the text show the layer and then create the frame and on frames you don't want the text to show up just hide the layer with the text and continue making frames.....
