It is just a game that runs on your PC. The demo is still available and I think you can still purchase the full version.

After I made this video I didn't do anything new with the code because of work. In Jan-Feb I worked on it for about two weeks and I've changed the menus so each one can be individually closed. Fixed it so that it looks the same in IE7. I added the rest of the existing menus from Uplink (Software "Start" menu, LAN Viewer, Connection Viewer). I've added a task list so that running processes can be viewed/killed. I have it setup so that I can run file copy/delete from the start menu.

I also started programming events in the GUI so that when you run software (file copier) it responds to what you click.

sounds good, don't give up :) love to see how facebook will interact with the game, and like the guy said about clans, that would be nice but uplink had a rating system of the top hackers. Uplink was the only game to really get my heart racing when i thought they were close and the tracker was beeping really fast lol.

I haven't added much to it but I'm still working on it. I had to redesign the interface slightly so that each dialog can individually be closed. I've added new menus (hopefully everything I'll need) and created the start menu. The start menu has software on it that you can run which shows up in the task list menu. I need to redesign the markers on the map since the way I add them isn't that efficient.

I would love to have it so that Facebook uplinkers could build their own gateway like in the game but also, what about clans? (put a member limit on the clans) The clans could use money that they have gained throughout the game to build up their clan LAN. That way other hackers have a hard time hacking their LAN... Just a thought.

Anyway! AMAZING! CAN'T WAIT... Would be the only facebook game that I play, they all suck have you noticed?

After I stopped playing Warbook (which was a lot of fun for a while) I've noticed that all the other games are boring. There is no sense of interaction that makes any of the games fun. I'm hoping to fill this void.
