Many people have a strong desire to experience the mystical. For them, my suggestion is to not seek out such experiences via the roll of the dice chemicals like LSD and such provide. But rather, move heaven and earth to become a lucid dreamer! Lucid dreams are BEYOND wonderful and I've never once heard of anyone having one and being scared out of their gourd!
It takes time and effort to become a lucid dreamer, but it's way better do it than to damage your mind and maybe hurt others via drugs.
