So pretty much whenever you have a TE on the line you want to step back about a yard back form the line?? And when you don't have a TE you want to be on the line??
work on acceleration with weight sleds. those really work on helping u built some speed. u gatta work on your bench. even though a receiver with lean muscle is good, u still gatta have to have the strength to push that corner back on toss plays
No Offense But That's Pretty Weak. . .Imma 14 Yr Old Freshman -& iBench 225. . .iLook Kinda Skinny But Swole. . .iSuqqest You Work On Technique -& Reps
My organization works with youth development. One of our programs promote athletics as a way of advancing their futures. Do you know of any personal sports trainers in the Lafayette area and are any video series availiable to purchase for viewing at our center?
i play midgefootball and......... from the looks of it they look like they dont know what 2 do that coach had 2 tell them b4 they did it on there own THEY R ROOKIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
can anyone give me some tips on playing a wide receiver since i never played football in teams or anything and im going in to high school. im about 6'0 and pretty fast coz i play soccer but not very physically strong
well i play tight end but when u catch low put ur pinkeys together to make cradle for the ball but when its high but ur thumbs nd index fingers together to make a triangle. my coach told me to look at the ball through the triangle until it gets to your hands
start pumpin weights, itl help if u continue playing into ur senior years. I'm sure ur coaches can help u out. just work on building muscles and watch some vids
Youre only 15, dont stress. You should go out for d. end/linebacker/safety and corner and tend as well as receiver. The weight room will transform you in a few years.
Okay, I need some help. I'm 15 years old, 6'0, and 140 Pounds, and cant decide on what position I want to play.. Also, I have really good hands, and I can run at a decent speed, im just not that fast. Can someone help me out?
no beacuase if you do that then when you come off the line you're going to step off with the foot closest to the quarterback, and it'll be harder to reach for the ball if he's looking to throw it hot, and you should also have your hands up covering your numbers to fight off the jam.
I'm ok @ WR but need sum help on defenders cus I'm kinda slow nd short, any tips hit me up.

Your lead foot should always be on the outside of your QB

I'm about 5'10 150lbs a senior in high school, and i plan on playing wide receiver in college
I've been lifting and running every day and I have great hands but im honestly not that fast or strong (my max on bench is about 125lbs)
Does anybody know how to build speed when running

you have to squat bro, thats the fastest way to get fast, or you can pull slends while sprinting.

well as a receiver you do two things catch, and block (rarely you get to run the ball)
When you block, you want to get your hands within his chest area and push him back, without letting him get behind you or around you
When you go out for a pass, you need to read the defense and run the assigned route THEN try to get away from the defenders and be open
DjPyro2010 2 years ago
this video aint right the recievers inside foot should always be back and his foot nearest the sideline forward.

hahah the wide receiver has the wrong foot facing forward
your suppose to have your foot thats closer to the qb back

Shouldn't the WR have his other foot forward so he's in a "open stance" to the QB (on his right)?
