people whining about the lack of fade in the end, this is the correct album version. the fade is caused by your audio players autofade option, which is turned on by default on at least iTunes and Winamp.
Blackfield is band that really captures emotions ! am a big fan of all steven wilson's projects although this project is mainly by Aviv Geffen, but the character and touch of steven is still there...like when he produced some of Opeth's albums ! btw guys if u like this type of music search for bands such as No-sound (Places Remained) i recommend this band !
@Symph0nyZ I definitely think of this as Steven Wilson's project. Just because he does most of the vocals and guitar. And he's way more talented than Geffen. He's just the greatest.
@deviantmuffin What probably happens is that the very end of this track flows directly into the next track, its only a guess, but next to the next song on the album, this abrupt stop is probably less obvious.
@Flam3o maybe on your limewire illegal download version, but this is how it is on the album ^^ maybe try turning your autofade* option off from iTunes or Winamp (which both have it on by default) before saying anything eh? ^^
*autofade inserts a few seconds of white noise or audio tweak into the end of tracks that stop abruptly.
J'adore cette chanson, sincèrement. C'est peut-être même elle qui m'a fait aimer Blackfield... Vraiment, c'est le genre de chanson que j'adore écouter, étendue dans mon lit. ♥

its melancholic on the surface, but its kinda hopeful actually after looking at the lyrics. Battling with depression, but there are always those who love you and you can always pull through.

there used to be another video that was shot in black and white with some people.. traveling in the country i believe. Where did that video go? This video is nice but the other one really fit this song.
I agree with you so much!! Had it in my playlist here, but like a lot of other videos in the last time it was taken out here from youtube with the words:
"This video is no longer available due to a copyright claim by WMG"
Like the unbelivable beautiful video "my gift of silende" with scenes from the film "the fountain"........ :o((
Is it just me, or do the lyrics to this song go along nicely with the movie "Control"? Because the words really seem to be in touch with exploring a psyche like that of Ian Curtis' when he was in Joy Division, with people shouting his name on stage, yet after all the blows he's taken (epilepsy seizures, etc.), he always seems to want to die with no understanding why he's become the way he is.
could be. i just think the guy in the song is confused about love and has mixed feelings about his commitment due to him having unresolved issues but he is calmed when he remembers how good some things are(having some1,looking at stars,etc..)
