Does it really seem logical to say paradise is in the heart of the earth? What kind of paradise could be underneath thousands of feet of rock and surrounded by lava? Also, why is paradise located next to hell? Paul said he was caught up to the third heaven and he called that paradise. Why do people keep saying paradise is in hell? It doesn't make any sense. Also, Abraham's bosom is not a place, its a body part. Lazarus was in the arms of Abraham...
ps i am not a spammer my name is Debbie I'm 26 and i am a christian who believes that paradise is not heaven but was a holding place for the old testament people God bless you all :P and please look at the link i found it on google while i was searching for the scripture that stated what i was thinking and i found there in the link it lays it out really nicely so yeah bye bye and God bless
While being baptised in the Holy spirit you have the gift of tongues and the authority over evil spirits. you instantly become a exorcist of modern day myth. anywhere you read in the new testament about gifts these are what are bestowed from being baptised in the spirit. being slayn in the spirit is also mentioned which is another term for being baptised not by water but by Fire or physical contact to recieve the holy spirit.
@remieres Lol. You didnt quote the entire passage. Why not?
18They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
Id like to test your spirit "1 John 4:1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world." to see what spirit you are led by. I bet your led by the spirit of 1 Kings 22:22
@AlYassou3Rabbi :) no real reason. I didn't see it as being needed. I didn't feel like preaching to someone who may for what I see, know the scriptures as well. Thanks though :)
@AlYassou3Rabbi Considering we have to be careful these days that we don't go to some demon possessed charismatic church, Yes I go to a spirit filled Holy Bible reading Bible Study/home church. With Rev. Gordon Williams who is the head of G.W.E.A. an awesome teacher and scholar. every Wednesday I try to be there to learn more and heal others who come. we have messages in tongues which are interpreted. we praise with hymns. I love it.
1. Quite so yes Gordon does speak of modesty of his teachings as only being the truth through translation and not interpretation. That the true teachings of Old and New Testaments and Covenants are not his to teach but ours to discover and agree upon. we may ask a brother if we don't understand or have troubles relating but we don't fall off the road with false teachings as some churches may (not saying you're thinking mine may be a false church)
@remieres Well that is good. It is important to adhere to what God has stated in the scriptures and not to circumvent it with our own ideas. Yea let God be true....
1. Show me one instance in scripture where a woman spoke in tongues.
2 Show me one verse where a woman is allowed to stand up and speak in church.
Lastly show me a verse from the bible which states the purpose of the gift of tongues.
2. Yes indeed several of our churches women are quite regularly chosen to use the gift of giving a message in tongues and it's quite a confirmation when his message (Jesus/Yahweh's) words flow through anyone in our small part of Christ's family. in fact more women give frequent messages in tongues aloud from Christ then the men. Though Christ uses both men and women equally for translation. So we do not hush the women in our church.
@remieres So you are saying that these people who stand up in your church and give a message directly from Christ are giving revelation? How does that agree or disagree with Rev 22:18?
All scripture comes from God thru the Holy Ghost according to Peter. If you have a direct line to Christ, then it is not coming in the pattern set down by Gods Word. 2Peter 1:21
Looking forward to your responses to these 2 posts, brother.
@AlYassou3Rabbi if you mean revelation as in Prophecy then no, they give messages like
"My children always keep your eyes on me though your days may be filled with trials I am there for you, I go before you, I love you and remember though others may despise you I will always love you"
I recognize the Holy Spirit as being one with the father and he being one with Jesus. This is the Holy Spirit talking through these people, and we recognize that it's god at the same time, as well as the Christ.
@remieres Well that is good. It is important to adhere to what God has stated in the scriptures and not to circumvent it with our own ideas. Yea let God be true....

@AlYassou3Rabbi I really want to know, are you getting angry? because this almost reads as a challenge or scrutiny
show me where it says that all who attended Pauls gatherings were only men, or further more that the 500 who were over come by the rushing mighty wind of the spirit were all men, or that those they talked to over the 1000's that night were all men?
2. Show me where I said that the women I mentioned stood up. Paul speaks about women not being allowed to lead or teach a church.
@AlYassou3Rabbi in no way am I trying to make you feel pressured to speak in tongues if you do not. For it is not a must or requirement for anyone to speak in tongues as some have tried to make it seem to me. rather I just speak about it being quite enforced in my service.
1 Corinthians 12:8-11 “kinds of tongues” and “the interpretation of tongues” are said to be sovereignly bestowed gifts of the Holy Spirit.
@AlYassou3Rabbi So not all churches of Christ shall have the gifts but we shouldn't turn it away. Nor should we discourage any woman or man from giving a message from the Holy Spirit.
Please I don't want discord as I feel I may have struck a chord. Though if you are simply interested in an inquisitive discussion then I'd suggest you order a book my Rev. wrote called "Like a rushing Mighty wind" a very detailed and heart felt book for any who agrees with Paul's ministry and the Holy Spirit.
Tartares (not sure on spelling) has been described as a waiting place for the unfaithful which is Pitch black and filled with Shale (which is comparable to Volcanic Ash) it has not come to my attention anywhere in the bible to my knowledge of people being Tortured by another being such as demons in hell or Tartares, I tend to believe it is rather the Torture of the soul through being abandoned by god and the pain endured by the environment as the demons are to be sent there for sins.
let it also be known that it is said that Lucifer will be among the first into hell and this shall not pass till the end of the art Harmageddon. Jesus had descended to Tartaras to preach and save those who would accept his salvation. unrelated but Lucifer is not the ruler of Hell but to dwell there in the end.
Last but not least if you are visited by a man who claims to be Jesus then demand he show his wounds from the cross as these shall be the signs of his truth of salvation.
2 Corinthians 5:8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.
Philippians 1:23 For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better:
John 14:2,3 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also
I always wondered if Jesus went to "Hell" when it says he went to prison. I always thought as Hell as the prison holding cell for the Day of Judgment and then the Lake of Fire being eternal torment. Right?
Heb 9:21: Moreover he sprinkled with blood both the tabernacle, and all the vessels of the ministry.
23: It was therefore necessary that the patterns of things in the heavens should be purified with these; but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these.
24: For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us:

@remieres Well let me ask you two questions.
1. Does your teacher speak of the importance of following the word of God closely?
2. Do the women in your church profess the gift of tongues and do they use it in church?

Acts 2:27 Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.
Ps16:10 For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.
I believe the judgmental work was finished at the cross, but then he preached unto the spirits in prison, and visited Hell while doing so.
Jn:19:30 When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.

Nobody forced you to watch anything, but you will be forced to crack the knee to Christ, whether you like it or not.
Phil 2:9: Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
10: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
11: And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
