What a Catch-22 the Obama campaign is in (and politics for that matter). Maintaining ads that are fact based and campaign oriented instead of blatant personal attacks garners the votes of intelligent and issue-oriented voters, but alienates the lazy and often ignorant voters who are swayed but McCain's personal ads which play to the "lowest common denominator". By this token and judging by the past two elections, half of the people in this country are both lazy and ignorant.
