  • Please watch ABILIFY KILLS on YouTube - - ABILIFY is a dangerous drug that causes death!

  • Can you make another video.about this drug I'm really interested in your opinions

  • Aripiprazole for an 11 year old, just diagnosed with Tourettes (vocal & Motor tic)

Would it be a good medication for him? To hel relax his muscles, an help him sleep? Thanks

  • I have a question : you talk about how adding aripiprazole to an antidepresent increases the Aripiprazole what effect does that have, and do you mean the aripiprazole is more potent or just stays in the blood stream longer

  • It is Weird bro i mean its making me feel so fucked man 30MG making me like Duo Hallucinate i need help

  • If it's not working after 3 days - ditch it. My bipolar 1 was made worse by this stuff - risperidone works for me for phychosis and mania and 0.5mg in the morning is good too.

  • @jnmklo9 needs 2 weeks to work side effects dissapear

  • IN HOW MUCH TIME DOES IT START TO CAUSE AN EFFECT ?

  • Best video on youtube about this drug, thank you sir.

  • pt 2. they decided it wasnt swine flu but it could be the aripiprazole but to this day they dont know. i was on 10 and im 16 and at that point was also taking citalopram 60 and had been taking that for many months. i was perscribed aripiprazole for anxiety. i now no longer take any medication much to my doctors dismay. do you have any idea what could have caused it?

  • Terrible Medication i was on Abilify (Aripiprazole) for 1 month and it did absolutely nothing for my depression caused me to get insomnia and i was barely able to sleep for more than 1-2 hours a night, Very Activating stimulating med. Did nothing for Depression or anything. Seroquel Works much better

  • ANYONE!... I've Had Really Bad News For Respiredone, Olanzapine and aripiprazole... Can Someone PLEASE Tell Me What The Overall Best For AntiPsychotic Med Would Beee!.....

  • It's an antidepressant only because it makes you manic. HAH

  • hi doc

what is your opinion on this medication being used to augment clozaril in an individual who achieves high serum levels and cannot be further increased?

  • hey doc I've been suffering from treatment resistant depression and anxiety, I am thinking of tryng aripiprazole, as I want a serotonin antagonist, as i found that cyproheptadine helps my condition massively, also i believe the partial dopamine agonist properties will be beneficial, I have used ssri's in the past nd also suffer from anhedonia from the ssri's do you think aripiprazole could be a good choice for me? cheers

  • You look like Rod Stewart! XD

  • It will interfere with cannabis benefits, otherwise it's among the better.

  • The abilfy (aripriprozal) di nothing on the psychotic sypmtoms and was activating at night which is worse than useless. Quetiapine was tried same as olanzapine, worse psychosis and constipation but both are sedating. Went back to a smaller dose of risperidone and that is working. So our experience of bipolar affective disorder with psychotic symptoms is risperidone works but has the prolactin side effect. Does coborgeline work to counter this Doc?

  • i started this med today at 15mg....i hope it helps me

  • Thanks Doctor of Mind - very useful and informative - our son has Bipolar Affective Disorder and his last episode in November 2009 got better after about 6 weeks on Risperidone but he suffered mild galatorrhoea. He takes 1000mg semisodium valproate at night - after a slight resurgence of psychotic symptoms we are advised to use 5mg mornin and 10mg at night because Aripriprazole does not have the raised prolactin side effect but has similar efficacy as risperidone - would you agree with that?

  • didnt help with me - bipolar type ii. i take seroquel which works.

  • I find Aripiprizole to very stabilising. I have soft bi-polar disorder.

  • I was on this drug for a week and experienced worsening anxiety and panic, and mood. I was told to try to stay on it to see if the side effects pass. At this point Klonopin is the only thing that works. This new "mood stabiliser" has done nothing for me.

My history is sketchy. Fly by bipolar diagnosis, which is not considered to be even my problem. Some docs say MDD, other's say dysthymia. Most just say a straight up anxiety disorder.

  • I was also cycling being bedridden depressed not eating for a week and then optimistic moving forward for two weeks and the aripiprazole immediately stopped that. Though it really feels like how I think an antidepressant should feel. I'm not suffering disabling fatigue anymore either.

  • My pdoc took me off invega because it was raising my prolactin levels and now im on Abilify and Celexa. I can't sleep anymore. I take it in the morning and I wake up every hour or couple of hours. Do you think this combo is useful for schizo affective disorder?

  • This stuff is a godsend. Nothing has worked as well as Abilify and Cipralex.

  • I love you, DOCTOROFMIND. You're my best friend.

  • I'm on Olanzapine 5mg and the wight gain is terrible. Would this med mix well with Escitalopram 20mg for bi-polar?

  • I've been diagnosed with borderline psychosis and depression. It didn't do anything for me other than give me strange nightmares and make symptoms worse.

  • I had horrific akathisia on this

  • you are my hero

  • Good augmenter I'm told? I preferred risperidone augmentation for depression. Sertraline/risperidone. Magic.

Got akathesia at 30mg at this.

  • I am a text book bipolar affective and if I get too hypo for too long I usually get a full range of psychotic sypmtoms - risperdone works on this makes me over tired but Prolactin raised to 2600 against 300 is aripriprozal a suitable alternative. I am on Depakote 1000 mg at night and am well at moment?

  • what happened? we need you.

    mike

  • I bought both shirts!!!!!!!! Super comfortable and a real conversation opener. Can't wait to wear it to the Jersey Shore!!!!! Get yours now while they're still cheap!

  • I'll see you there.

  • horrible, possibly permanent side effects even from short term use. be afraid !

  • u should have ur on show tv show like house, except deal with complicated psychiatric cases! :P

  • On one of my hospital stays, they were passing this s**t out like candy. Suddenly everyone on the ward was taking it. I saw all the Abilify clocks stationary, and candy jars but if you say anything that usually gets you a couple more days(free samples). When I got home and continued taking it, I paced like a dog in a kennel. I'm off it now but it sent me ten years back. Paying for commercials at the mentally ill's expense.

  • Good info. Along with Stahl, I use your videos to keep abreast of my psychopharmacology.

It is interesting how the industry is trying to push the atypicals as augmentation therapy for depression (Seroquel XR is the flavor of the month right now).

  • hi doc u are the best u explain the side effects co and pro of prescripti0n medication i have learn3d a lot more from u than what i have from any sychiatrist i have ever spoken too keep up the good work

  • i got a drug induced psychosis as you know, 10 mg comat the mania of the psychosis but still i have some episodes of it regulary

  • in the uk this med is used as an adjunct, i agree im not a big fan,

  • so good info , thank you , love the t-shirt

  • The shirts are huge! but they have you on them so thats all that matters! so nice of evelyn to do that for me!

  • I like how much thought you put into these meds and how you must obviously take the time to memorize what you need to-not all docs are like you-i dont think they take all factors into consideration-i appreciate that about you-how you still care how it affects the body too-

  • Hmmm... you suggest that aripiprazole as 'activating'. What does it mean when it slows you down?

  • well that can mean its helping mania (psychiatrically) or causing side effects ( psychomotor retardation or akinesia) its difficult to say here need to get checked .

    does that make sense

  • Okay, yeah that does make sense. Ha! To think I racked my brain on that question for awhile now.

And in due time, there should be something good coming your way. Much love, doc

  • @DOCTOROFMINDMD

its a scary freaking "medicine". more like a poison than anything else I am aware of. I would rather take snake venom.

  • @DOCTOROFMINDMD it activates certain areas of the brain to influence negative symptoms of schizophrenia and it slows down the pos symptoms.

  • Cant see the video yet- i have that shirt! haha!

  • i bet it fits you perfect

  • nice shirt

  • they are still available for $25.00 send to address on my channel listed on the left...
