Compare to the original Blood the last vampire the "Anime Movie" I exspect the worst but this movie was good. They added alot more Fight scene and some what had an ending but in reality it was only a dream and didn't stray to far from the original still kept the audience with alot questions till the end. I just don't like when they show Saya past because that was one of the best mystery that I love about the original movie. Like how old is she, how long have she been fighthing.

As a fan of the original film and series & anime in general, I must say I don't expect much from live action films.

The truth is Anime does not translate well to live action and it never will no matter how much effects and computer graphics they use.

So even if it turned out to be good, when it comes to anime I remain a purist and never bother with live action. But to each their own.

Blood and Blood+ are similar, but not the same. Blood+ is a spin-off series of sorts, within the same universe as Blood, featuring the same central character, in 'present day'. Blood took place in like, the 60's or something, which this live action movie is being based off. So, they are the same, but not the same.

Anyhow, if I was immortal, I would learn all that stuff. plus violin, cello, guitar, flute, calligraphy, origami, dentistry, Auto Cad, carpentry, Baking and every language on the planet. Maybe get a PHD in something. Maybe do one of those Tony Robbins feel good courses?

After a slew of crappy movie failures like DBZ, Speed Racer etc. this does look promising, Hollywood take note lol. In regards to the Cowboy BeBop movie at least Sunrise is issuing a quality control. If the script sucks they won't give the green light. This should have been standard procedure for the start. Will have to wait and see I guess.

this movie is based off of blood the last vampire(the OVA) and the manga was a sequel to that. they only changed some stuff to make it longer than the original OVA which was only an hour long. and to yuyumahori if the movie was called blood the last VAMPIRE then the main caracter must be a vampire, right??? plus if you saw the movie, it was revealed at the end that saya was a vampire with a photo of her from 1892. this isnt based off of blood+ but Diva's in there to make the movie longer
