he's probably bending the notes with his lips so you get that effect,you attack the note and bend it downwards.

all he is doing is extremely bending the note by loosing the embrochure but not losing the embrochure at the same time sooo basically its all in lips.

If I am looking at the part you mean (just after 3:24), then that to me sounds like a "laugh". Try saying ku into the saxophone instead of tu or du when you play (late reply...)
