I am going to have this procedure for an upper full denture implant. I'm a bit nervous. Are their any cons to this procedure. I have had dentures for many years and have quite a bit of bone loss.
If performed carefully by a skillful and experienced oral surgeon, it is a very predictable procedure. As with any surgery, infection is the main issue, but rather rare. Also, it matters what type of bone grafting combination is used- some work better than others. It has been a very successful procedure in my hands.
My friend is going to go through this tomorrow and it was nice to be able to show him what he is going to be in for. Thank you for this video. It helped provide peace of mind due to its thoroughness.
it is controlled by pain medication. Yes, I took some days-off because I had a lot of bruising and my face swelled. However, after 3 months when I returned to my Periodontist, I was advised to have another bone graft on my front gum. I had it done last April 19, 2010. I'll be back at the clinic to have my stiches removed on May 3, 2010. I'm healing well, but how long will I wait to have my implants put? Thank you for your response.
