@Rotarrius no one plays ken anymore. although im not sure if yipes still does. i havent seen him in recent tournaments. but ed ma had a great ken before he switched to akuma. check those out. but if u wanna be good, id suggest u try akuma too.

Tatsus do more damage but srks knockdown. Knokdowns maintain momentum better than tatsus because at the end of the tatsu, it's a guessing game for both players. If ken dps it can be blocked. If he throws it can be teched, ending momentum. With knockdowns, you can set up mixup shenanigans. At least that's my reasoning.

Sanford's Gouken was pretty crappy that match. No counters, almost no anti-air, barely any demon flips. He could have done a counter -> super at one point. Guess that's what happen when you don't specialize and try to be the best with all characters.

Sanford might be one of the greatest Gouken players in the world.....not as good as his Cammy (he has the best Cammy in the world, so WTF are you talking about he doesnt specialize on a character??) but, if you were noticing, Yipes was trying to get Sanford to start countering. And the Demon flip leaves you incredibly vulnerable. He played smart, Yipes is no push over.

Have you seen Daigo use anyone other than Ryu in SF4? no? That's called specialization. Trying to be the best at all characters, it's not happening. Sanford uses Akuma, Cammy, Gouken, etc. He's a good player but that's his down fall. You have to perfect the match ups you have with certain characters and perfect your execution. Best cammy in the world? opinion. demon flip is one of gouken's main toolsets to use that is part of his mix-up game but that reason, is why gouken isn't used in tourneys.

It's really irritating when players experiment in tournaments. Sanford really doesn't know what he is doing with Gouken. He should be following fireballs with Demon flips, more focus attacks and punishing those jump kicks with the parry.

Awesome matches. Didnt find Sanford playing that well tbh, but it seems very hard cause gouken aint that fast. had to block most of the time, and got one combo in at 4:00, excluding last round.
