I doubt it was Molly... There is no way she could live that long. The Gold Rush started in the 1850's and it seemed she was at least 14 years old when she went gold rushing. So since the movie is set in 1980, that would make her what? like 145 years old? lol
I may have misunderstood, but if Molly was born in 1900 and the movie takes place in 1980, then it is possible that it really was Molly. She would have been an old woman, but that's what the lady who saved Jody was.
I agree with you! I mean it would be a long shot, but it really could have been Molly Morgan. Especially since Jody had so much faith in knowing her legend. Why else would it be someone else? No one deserved Molly's clam of gold other then Jody and Beth!

Amazon seems to have a fair number of used copies. (I'd imagine it would be quite difficult to find any tape in "new" condition, so you'd probably have to settle for used.)
