@Lamoir That's because it is generic. I'm actually surprised that I actually like it as much as I do - it's unspectacular and Sakuraba has crafted far better trracks. But nevertheless, it's just catchy and adventerous enough to be memorable.

Good stuff. A lot of love here for the Tethe'Alla music, too. Although the best Aselia overworld theme is Raising a Curtain, hands down. I prefer the softer, sweeping DotNW version, but Phantasia's is sweet too.

This song just screams adventure. Gotta love hearing in when you were in Sylvarant, especially when you'd occasionally get lost.

I wish there would be a ToS3, but highly unlikely due to the sorry excuse of a "sequel" (Does Dawn of the New World even deserve to be called a sequel?) that Dawn of the New World was... It'd be great to just have the original party again, without Emil and Marta, with new places to explore, new cities, etc etc. Or, 4000 years in the past back when Mithos was there.

Also, personally, this world map theme obviously deserves to be rated in like the top 10. The theme for Tethe Alla was great as well, should be up there in the 10's-30's. The Tethe Alla theme kind of reminds me of Golden Sun 2's first world theme.

if you ask me i would love to see a prequel like lufia 2 with our fabled kratos or someone else close to them during the war before they took control of the world and seeing mithos become evil XD so yeah i totally dig the idea with the 4000 years in the past!

I rather enjoyed the game. Now the voices I can agree with ya half-way since I felt that ToS wasn't easy to dub for the VAs & an actor's work is only as good as the direction and willing of the director. Also I thought the music was memorable since I went through some effort to find some songs I loved.

If ya want disappointment, look to this game's sequel: improved graphics & acting, but the story line & game itself is fan service. (think FF X-2, but with less women & more whiny blonde hero)

Sakuraba seems to do his weakest work in the Tales series and his best in Valkyrie Profile. I'm playing Tales of Vesperia right now and the music has remained unimpressive. Not BAD. Just unimpressive.

Tales of Symphonia had a lot of songs I fell in love with, I have been rather disappointed by the other Tales soundtracks I have heard. S03 had a great battle theme, but that was another mainly disappointing soundtrack. A lot of generic rock music blaring in long-forgotten temples for a start.
