Ingnore silly stereotypes, they don't understand and have been brainwashed by the nasty media. I can tell you that my collie mix dog was nearly killed by a bay retreiver when he was a young dog. Goes to show that lab's are not 'nicey nicey' dog's as everyone makes out to be.
I love bull terrier's, there fab dog's in my opinion and not mean. If I can't get a Doberman Pinscher, I'll defenitly consider getting a bully!
Hii you have a lovely dog there i was going to buy and english bull terrier a cuple of weeks ago ontil a close friend told me they are very vicious , can't be left alone for too long or they become very very agressive , they can't be teased and every one must learn to respect the dog etc ? and that realy put me of them but i realy realy want one i just wanted to know have you experinciend this in your dog at all ? get in touch with me ASAP THANKS !! X
i leave my bully alone for 8 hours a day and she respects me i trust her withh all my family and would recomend them to any one they are fabulous dogs
These guys are the best, all that talk about them being agressive and vicious is just not true... It's surprising some people still think they are agressive!. They are sweet, outgoing, clown dogs, mine is incredible, he loves people and gets along well with other dogs. As with any breed, it at all comes down to the way you treat and socialize them. I can tell everybody the are the best, they do like to play a lot, as they are a little bit stubborn, training would be great.
I've had my bully for over two years now, and I can honestly say that they are the best dogs about. He's never ever agressive, and yeah, he can be teased a little, but like all dogs he has his limits. I don't think your friend has ever been in contact with a Bull terrier, but I can honestly reccomend one to you.
Ive had loads of different dogs throughout my life and i was even an army dog handler for a couple months and i can tell you that the breed means very little its all about the treatment they get. The only onef my ogs that ever bit me was a lab and ive had boxers dobes G sheperds etc etc but i can seriously recomend you read up before buying any dog because you want to be 100% sure before you go ahead and buy a dog.
Again, someone dissing bullies just because they were originally bred as fight dogs. I tell you, those damn Chihuahuas are 10000 times more vicious than bullies. If you want a bullie, find a good breeder (do not buy dogs from pet stores), ask him if you can see his bullies, get to know the breed and all. Do not get a dog just because you like its looks. Bullies can be a bit hard to train, because they are so thickheaded, but they dont harm other people/dogs, unless they feel they are in danger.
English Bull Terriers used to be known as aggressive dogs, however nowadays it has been bred out of them. make sure that you are an experienced dog owner if you purchase one, and purchase it from the right breeder.
hi, does anyone know wat a suitable price for a bull terrier is because iam planning on getting one and i just want to kno wat price range iam looking at, cheers. x
i bought petey a all white bt for my mom to replace her pug (rip). for almost 6 months my mom did not talk to me she hates pit bulls and petey look so much like one(to her)now 5 years later my mom and petey are a team. she trully loves the hell out of this dog, he charm his way to her heart and the family. well the dog is really mines i just let my mom think is hers..lol.
BT's are not stupid but like almost all terriers they have their own ideas and need human companions who spend lots of time with them. Their enormous strength and limitless energy can make them a challenging pet. An owner needs to be active, patient, and willing to be a responsible owner. Be warned.
About their ears is the answer different for every bull terrier, but normally it comes allright before they change teeth at seven months (the time they chew on everything).
I have a 13 month old male Staff. He's still very boisterous and still loves to chew hands but bull terriers are such loving dogs and just love to be around people. They are infuriatingly stubborn and single minded but that adds to their charm i think.
I had a Bull Terrier, (brindle, like this one). He got really ill and died this past summer around the time of the recall on dog food. He was the smartest most lovable dog! I reluctantly had to have him neutered in the hopes it would calm him down..... it worked! I only did this because I have grandchildren. He was my baby and he'll have a very special place in my heart 4 ever. He was loved by all and is missed greatly but he sure was a joy to have in our lives. Rest in peace Sammie!
we have a pure white one of these and i hate it lol its so boystrous(?) it does my head in. its only like 4 months old though hopefully itll grow out of it
Sorry mate - I've had (& have) one of these - they calm down when they reach about 12!!! The only difference is they get bigger, heavier and can move more furniature when they play. Just love 'em and cuddle them, that's what they want - in a nutshell they want your attention. They can be trained to not be badly behaved but the boisterousness never goes - I'll try and video the 'welcome home' mine gives us - and he's 4+ now!
i have a 4 year old red bully, and she was just a terrorist when she was a puppy, she grew out of it around 2 yrs old. and now shes the calmest out of all our dogs, it is a good thing to know what to expect before getting one tho, because they are high energy dogs that need tons of training. good luck!!!
I had a dog exactly like this one, even down to the little white mark on his back, just brought the kids in to have a look at it and they all thought it was ours....lol
Oh my, the vicious bone has invaded! I have to protect the house!
I loved your video and the puzzled expression when the bone accidently gets hit and moved is priceless. We gave ours a giant sized empty beer can to play with until he got too big for them but he loved batting and chasing that around!
just make sure you can handle a bit of house training if you're getting a puppy, but make sure you know the previous owners history if you plan to adopt, many people think the dogs are born vicious, but the owners are to blame. Bu the're a great type of dog, im 14 and i have a staffy whos 3, they're great
That's a great little dog you have there, just a thought but perhaps the shape of that bone instinctively reminds her of a small rodent she's probably never met a real one yet so she is just playing & learning which is of course what dogs do,my three year old EBT is great at chasing squirrels in fact i'm thinking of entering him in the doggy olympics.
this dog is beautiful!!!!! i plan on getting one in a few months... i'm still contemplating on weather i want white or the brindle... im leaning more towards brindle.. your's has great color!
I've got to say - she is the most wonderful bully I've seen in a long time. She never fails to make me smile. Please post a new video 2 let us all now how she's doing now!!!
i love bull terriers, i have one, his name is droopy and i think they are very smart but they are very crazy too. who can not love them!!!! congratulations for your brandy from Argentina!
I think the people that think bull terriers aren't smart, just don't understand them...our bull terrier is very smart...he seems to know how to get everything he wants...I call that smart! Love the video...so excited about that bone!!
Some of these comments are way out there. It's a bull terrier playing with it's bone and nothing else. It doesn't have OCD or any other disorder, nor does any bull terrier ever have cropped ears! Maybe before commenting you should know a little about the breed first. By the way this is one of the cutest little bully plays I have ever seen! Great pup!
Yup, I've never seen a bull terrier with cropped ears. Some people may assume they're cropped as they've seen bullies with splinted ears in order to get the ears to stand erect. I've been literally cursed out b/c people have thought I've cropped my dogs' ears. BTW, I have nothing against cropped ears/tails in the least.
This is not indicative of OCD in bull terriers. OCD in bull terriers manifests most commonly as spinning and fly catching. This little pup is just playing with a bone and not really sure what it is!
