Philips released some Nintendo titles on the CD-i but again this was nothing to do with the N64.

Then your wii and gameboy make awesome body armor and it becomes your personal Nintendo assistant robot? I WOULD LOVE IT!

I have a n64 and 64dd hooked up via AV cables. Does the Tristar require seperate AV cables for that hook up. In other words, are 2 sets of av cables needed to use all three systems together?

I was in college in 1997 and a buddy of mines had a console that had a switch on it that could change it to the japanese version, I think he said he got in from when he was actually over there, also I think it was sega genisis. I have owned like alot of systems and the ones I didn't own thought I had heard of, that system my buddy had was like wow what is this, he used to put it on the japanese version and we'd play street fighter japanese had nice moves for the characters, nvr seen this 64dd.

There were tons of great games on the Playstation, such as Crash Bandicoot, Spyro, WipEout, Mega man games, bunch of awesome RPGs and awesome shmups... Sure, it didn't have games as iconic as the N64 with Mario and Zelda and Star Fox, but it was FAR from bad. Some of the greatest games on PS1 are comparable to games on N64, despite the fact that the PS1 is a 32-bit system.

I've always wondered. I know to play Japanese games on an American Nintendo 64, you have to modify it- including removing the dust cover, but what about the DD? It looks like you are using an unmodified system, so can an American system work with it?

Just bought a PAL version w/ Goldeneye included and instead of AV cables it had an RF cable packed in! It even said so on the box! 70s tech in the UK in the 90s?
ランドネット as the case reads, would mean "Land Net". It's a transliteration from English. Sounds very much like a networking service disc; actually from what I could make out on the back, it seems the disc was offered to members subscribed to a service of the same name.
All I could make out on the disk was "Magnet" on the front of the disk. And "Magnet Member Desk Telephone Number" Lol I couldn't see the rest... Writing's too small on the vid :P. If you still need a translation you could post a larger picture on YouTube and I'll see what I can read.

If I'm not mistaken, the grey button is the same as the GS button on the n64 gameshark, its to activate codes momentarily during gameplay.

ランドネット as the case reads, would mean "Land Net". It's a transliteration from English. Sounds very much like a networking service disc; actually from what I could make out on the back, it seems the disc was offered to members subscribed to a service of the same name.

All I could make out on the disk was "Magnet" on the front of the disk. And "Magnet Member Desk Telephone Number" Lol I couldn't see the rest... Writing's too small on the vid :P. If you still need a translation you could post a larger picture on YouTube and I'll see what I can read.

@roosteemon yes because the power supply is the same as in Japan. The DD will mess up if u use a PAL N64 because the power supply is different
