  • Awesome first video it took me forever to find though! It's sick to go back and look at big gamers first vids and compare them to today !

  • So much plastic on one console.....

  • You have your game system history all wrong here. Nintendo was never working with Philips to make an N64 CD add-on. The CD-i was released in 1991 - FIVE YEARS before the N64 was even available. What I think you're referring to is the short lived partnership between Nintendo and Sony to make a CD addon for the SNES - when Nintendo got cold feet and backed out, Sony went on to develop the PlayStation.

Philips released some Nintendo titles on the CD-i but again this was nothing to do with the N64.

  • Great Review!

  • I had no idea Nintendo came out with something similar to the 32X!!! Nice find!!

  • @graphicsgod the tristar is an unofficial addon, they made one for the snes called the super 8.

  • I didnt' even know about add-ons for the N64 !

  • Looks like a transformer on life support, holy crap

  • Awesome

  • i saw a wii and a ps3 in te background, where the fuck is ur xbox dumb fuck

  • Does the n64 dd work on a ntsc console?

  • Can you belive this was his first review, how may subs then. Look at him now

  • That looks like a mess man lol. Cluster fucked together like that lol

  • wmpn64=world's most powerful nintendo 64

  • ITS THE NINTENDO 32X

  • Has anyone else for some reason had a lot of trouble pulling out a NES/SNES/N64 cartridge and when it finally gave in it popped out and you smacked yourself in the face. What? Only me? Go figure.

  • @ExMxO59002 Don't hold your face over the console slot then and pull it straight up, not toward you. Did that with the Sega Genesis a few times...

  • @MegaSonicdude10 Yeah... Learned that the hard way... lol

  • wow great video...

  • What if you had the tristar 64 in the N64 cart slot, and the 64DD on the bottom, turn it on, and the 64DD splits into 2, becomes legs, the N64 makes a body, and the tristar 64 makes a head, and it runs around the house destroying your Xbox 360 and PS3? Then your wii and gameboy make awesome body armor and it becomes your personal Nintendo assistant robot? I WOULD LOVE IT!

  • Tristar 64*

  • If you got a 64DD on the bottom, N64 in the middle, and tristar 66 with all cartridges in the gaps, it would make an ultimate TRIN64DD pwnzor robot!

  • @Bloxxer42 and a game genie

  • @FalzarZ A game genie would make it evil.

  • Well it seems Nintendo fucked themselves then.

  • Oh crap 0_0!!!!! That's some kind of Super Elite Console!!!

  • nice system ill liked it when i saw it 4 the first time shame Nintendo

  • I wish URA Zelda was finished and released. i would need that reason and that reason alone to get the 64DD

  • I remember when goldeneye came out, I thought that was the best game in the world. It blew me away for years. It took a long time before I really appreciated another game that much. Deff one of the most revolutionary games in history!

  • The 64DD with the Tristar is just like a Genesis/Megadrive with a 32x and Sega CD.

  • These days i'm more of a hardware nerd than actually playing the physical games. Kind of sad really, but that's what happens when time is short. Console oddities are awesome. Hope to see you at magfest if you're going!

  • N64 on steroids lol. It must be totally boss having 4 games in there at once.

  • tristar 64 looks fugly

  • do u have a game and watch?

  • I'm just hearing about the nintendo 64

  • the cdi mario game was ok. the zelda games sucked!!

  • Fucking Ultra Zord shit from Power Rangers when you combined everything together!

  • this was like what happend to the sega genesis keep adding crap and put it on life support

  • I have a n64 and 64dd hooked up via AV cables. Does the Tristar require seperate AV cables for that hook up. In other words, are 2 sets of av cables needed to use all three systems together?

  • jaguar cd!

  • the tristar I mean :)

  • i used to have one of these, it was terrible as far as build quality goes... even as a collector i couldn't justify keeping it

  • What happend with the game gear? dont you had/have one??

  • nintendo should,ve contineu their cd rom and move it the the n64 instead and just had to base the dd64 on cd rom technology, disks only store 64mb just like cartrides but were cheaper to make but were4 also unreliable.

if nintendo just had put cd,s in the dd64 cartride instead of disks,it may would,ve catch and convince game developers to make games for it.

but nintendo was again to heady to not use cd,s.

  • I was in college in 1997 and a buddy of mines had a console that had a switch on it that could change it to the japanese version, I think he said he got in from when he was actually over there, also I think it was sega genisis. I have owned like alot of systems and the ones I didn't own thought I had heard of, that system my buddy had was like wow what is this, he used to put it on the japanese version and we'd play street fighter japanese had nice moves for the characters, nvr seen this 64dd.

  • WHere did u get the tristar 64

  • i feel alittle left out that i got the pikachu n64 but then i remember how cool it is

  • That las thing reminds me if a 32x adapter "shudder"

  • Dude, you rock for posting this. I was always curious about the DD after seeing ads for it in Nintendo Power and (I think) GamePro.

  • The epic 64

  • playstation blew the nintendo system out of the water? what? crazy talk. playstation sucked.....when it comes down to fun gameplay nothing beats nintendo.

  • @STEEZ4U Playstation didn't suck, don't exaggerate things...

  • @Quartrez i reserve the right to have an opinion. i bought one of the first playstations on the market and not only was the actual hardware shitty, but I didn't like the games compared with SNES or N64. i'm just a fan of nintendo's gameplay, characters, and design. having been to tokyo several times in my life and a lover of japanese culture it just does it for me whereas sony and microsoft don't. what is one person's exaggeration is another one's truth.

  • @STEEZ4U Hum... Sony is a Japanese company, BTW. There were tons of great games on the Playstation, such as Crash Bandicoot, Spyro, WipEout, Mega man games, bunch of awesome RPGs and awesome shmups... Sure, it didn't have games as iconic as the N64 with Mario and Zelda and Star Fox, but it was FAR from bad. Some of the greatest games on PS1 are comparable to games on N64, despite the fact that the PS1 is a 32-bit system.

  • @Quartrez yeah sony is a japanese company, but next time u r in japan, ask around, look around, then tell me what system represents the japanese culture more. this is just my opinion about the games, but i always and still feel nintendo games are funner in their gameplay. i will take mario kart on snes over any game on any system.

  • @STEEZ4U and Quartrez, you are both right. both consoles are good. Now shut up and have a great day!

  • @STEEZ4U while all our memories are on the n64, psx had more amazing games... metal gear solid, final fantasy, among other rpgs.

still love n64 tho, no doubt.

  • where...the...BLEEP...is...MOTHERBLEEP64?!!?!?!?

  • Kinda cool :P

  • I wish Zelda 64 was made....

  • 3:44 that was the SNES.

  • you ment four systems lol nes snes n64 n64dd,

  • goldeneye and perfect dark as well as mariokart marioparty ssbb zelda oot starfox ddkr and the 2 banjos were awsome so was rugrats scavenger hunt

  • MEGAZORD 64 ... Activated!

  • @Gamerster81 I love your reviews and everything. But I do have a problem when it comes to collecting older games. Upon buy a new HDTV I had discovered it doesn't have a yellow composite input... I guess it is a newer thing that TV's are doing to lesson costs I gather, but this is a big problem for collectors for the fact that I can't even play anything older then a PS1. Do you know of any devices that can convert these old wires with newer HDTV ones? Or do I have to man up and buy a new older TV

  • @jayofthe400 My brand new top-end samsung 2011 model has yellow composite input adapter...

  • @jayofthe400 it all depends on the av cable you have

  • @Gamerster81 I love your reviews and everything. But I do have a problem when it comes to collecting older games. Upon buy a new HDTV I had discovered it doesn't have a yellow composite input... • A few questions :

1st Where is a good place to get the dd ?

2nd does it work with an european n 64

third : if i have to buy an japanese n 64, will it work with PAL ?

  • DinoUltrazord

  • You can get the N64 Emulator+All games for free here megafire.org\?r0lNUc ¸

  • How ironic it looks just like a sega genesis with a sega cd and 32x attached XD

  • Holy crap thats a huge list of game systems

  • WOW N64 CHILDHOOD MEMORIES. MY GOD WISH THESE YEARS COULD CUM BACK. Time just went to fast, wish I could go back in time and enjoy these good times just 1 more time.

  • i think your n64 is suffocating

  • no gameplay in this vid? Oh well! This was all crazy cool and interesting!! Great review vid!

  • menos consolas y mas ejercicio gordito

  • They actually found another game for it if you check 64dd dot net

  • REVIEW ALL OF THEM PLEASE.

  • it's a Chimera system

  • yo my man du u or anyone no were i cn buy a brand new nintendo 64 or even a used one

  • do you have any videos of the Mario Artist game play?

  • The last add on was bad ass.

  • Um... Untrue the multilayer first person shooter that started it all was half-life.

  • @Zeroini Half-Life came out in 1998. Goldeneye came out in 1997. So Goldeneye came first.

  • @Zeroini golden eye came out in 1997, while half life came out in 1998. at that time more people owned a gaming console than a traditional computer. while half life did contribute to shooters, the multiplayer inspiration was from goldeneye's multiplayer for being one of the first and well known first person shooters.

  • ...So Nintendo decided to copy sega? lol

  • i think Gamester81 should review pokemon stadium, pokemon stadium 2 aka pokemon stadium in the us, and pokemon stadium kin gin (Pokemon Stadium Gold Silver) aka pokemon stadium 2 in the us for the nintendo 64

  • 4 game systems in one... not five -____-

  • @jogoslogo noooooooooo five the n64, n64dd, the tristar64 which counts as three. do the math

  • Sweet to see how your stuff has evolved man! Randomly came across your first video while researching the N64 DD haha.

  • N64 FUCK OFF!

  • @NgJackal1990 think about it, this system right here, is what got us here today with XBOX360, PS3, and the Wii. this was the first console that, for its time, was revolutionary and inspired other gaming companies to make games in 3D. then through time, we developed games with AWESOME GRAPHICS, and GAMEPLAY!!!

  • @ShadicToast Yeah I can image how happy people were in 1996 when this thing came out lol. Those people must be in heaven to own this game system; but look at it now, it's 15 years old!

  • @NgJackal1990 Why does that matter? The games are so good they're still remaking them

  • @eateroftheflame Well I'm glad, have fun with it lol

  • Wow, you sounded so nervous compared to now. (But I don't blame you, it's your first video.)

  • why is your expansion pack big and black

  • Love nintendo so much :)

  • I wonder if we knew we were going to find Bin Laden by 2011 in 2009.

    Irrelevant, but just saying.

  • That just looks like when you turn it on it'll explode because of epicness and cause brain cancer to people within a 300 ft. radius... just sayin

  • Whenever I'm "searching for something in the past" I always happen to see those "slaves of the past" or "Nostalgic-Zealots" comments...

  • "Super hard.."

  • Initially, Nintendo contracted w/Sony then w/Philips.

  • @dimmddr1 ugh! don't remind me! I'll NEVER own a Playstation!!

  • @redilliop I kinda wish Nintendo wasn't so much of an asshole towards Sony. They could've done great things together. I might've liked the PlayStation line if not for the fact that Sony aided the death of the Dreamcast. Not cool, Sony.

  • @dimmddr1 Sony was brought into the videogame market by Nintendo when they made games for the SNES. I REALLY wish it were still Atari, Sega and Nintendo instead of the Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo we have today...

  • that Tristar seems pretty sweet. All that stuff together reminded me of the shrine of the silver monkey from Legends of the Hidden Temple.

  • fuck yeah Goldeneye! I fucked shit up with those proximity mines.

  • (Widescreen video in a 4:3 video. Please enable yt:stretch=16:9.)

    Aren't N64DD games region-locked so they don't play on different-region N64s?

  • we see a lot of dd's on playboy mag

  • Your n64's getting gang-raped

  • *looks at list of consoles you own* OH SH**! o_O

  • I've always wondered. I know to play Japanese games on an American Nintendo 64, you have to modify it- including removing the dust cover, but what about the DD? It looks like you are using an unmodified system, so can an American system work with it?

  • i was waiting for him to plug the caffeine free coke can into the n64

  • For a game/console collector, you are extremely rough with your possessions.

  • loved the N64B ,was the a fantastic little consol , played some of my fav games EVER on it , ZELDA OOT , ZELDA MAJORAS MASK TUROK , TUROK 2 SEEDS OF EVIL , DIDDY KONG RACING , BANJO KAZOOIE & BANJO KAZOOIE ,GOLDENEYE , PERFECT DARK , ah the memories :)

  • It started out as a 64, and ended up a coffee table

  • lol holy crap, that's a beast.

  • I was like "Oh he can't have THAT many systems" and then I clicked 'Show more'

    ...oh man...

  • Nintendo 64DD = Sega CD

    Tristar 64 = Sega 32X

All of which don't look presentable when used together.

  • Zelda OoT really established adventure games.

  • holy fuck that thing is huge with the N64 on top of it!

  • virtual boy

  • Just bought a PAL version w/ Goldeneye included and instead of AV cables it had an RF cable packed in! It even said so on the box! 70s tech in the UK in the 90s?

  • @erin0033 70's? n64 came out in 96.

  • gang raped

  • nintendo always trying to be like sega

  • fuck golden eye it's why we have all these crap FPS's today zelda ocarina is the best game ever made no one can dispute that

  • I want one of these! Will it work with an American N64?

  • @HardcoreGamer4Ever Yes it will the Japanese and American N64's are import friendly.

  • @cutemimi25

that's what the Mother games said (Earthbound series, particularity EB64) but nah they are pretty friendly.

  • @KingN641994 That might be true.

  • @KingN641994 Well it's true.

  • @cutemimi25 lol

  • @wiiownsps3and360 It's overrated.

  • @wiiownsps3and360 WOAH BUDDY I love OoT I think it's the best Game of all time but Goldeneye is amazing.

  • @wiiownsps3and360 twilight princess is supirior

  • that was pretty awesome its like a nintendo voltron

  • 64DD sounds like a cupsize ^^

  • are there any kind of regional lockouts on the n64? or can I play all games released for the n64 regardless of region it?

  • Do you need a Japanese Nintendo 64 to play the DD?

  • If I'm not mistaken, the grey button is the same as the GS button on the n64 gameshark, its to activate codes momentarily during gameplay.

  • No offence, and great video, but big enough description?

  • ランドネット as the case reads, would mean "Land Net". It's a transliteration from English. Sounds very much like a networking service disc; actually from what I could make out on the back, it seems the disc was offered to members subscribed to a service of the same name.

  • goldeneye 007 rocks

  • this guy's story has a few holes in it

  • i'd love to see AVGN do a reviev of this.

  • @kimflodin he probably will when there is no more shitty NES games.

  • lol in the end of that all, that's a true super nintendo.

  • Imagine if the AVGN Tackled this stuff. Recipe for Disaster

  • Lol I mean it said "Ragnet"

  • All I could make out on the disk was "Magnet" on the front of the disk. And "Magnet Member Desk Telephone Number" Lol I couldn't see the rest... Writing's too small on the vid :P. If you still need a translation you could post a larger picture on YouTube and I'll see what I can read.

  • i want my N64 back......i do....it had the 2 greatest cartridge games ever..James Bond..GoldenEye....and of course Mario Kart N64......

  • and here I though the Sega 32x CD was a giant waste of space. this n64 is about the size of a desktop tower.

  • What's the difference between the Super NES and Super Famicon?

  • @jarosikzero Nothing really, the Famicom is the Japanese Super NES

  • @jarosikzero The only difference is the color scheme

  • i fucking miss N64 and the 90's

  • will ether of those work on a amarican n64???

  • @roosteemon yes because the power supply is the same as in Japan. The DD will mess up if u use a PAL N64 because the power supply is different

  • GO WHITE DEVILS!!! Thats the ASU mascot right? The White Devil?

  • Sweetttttt

  • any info on the Sega Neptune you could share with us

  • whats the point of this video besides showing off your stuff? no offence

  • man,the N64 is being double-raped...

  • wow i had no idea there was another add on besides the DD! thats so awesome

  • Thanks for these videos man!! It brings back memories. Keep up the good work!!!

  • Does it also play nes? Like does the tristar have a slot for that
