Good Lord did she look amazing! I remember seeing this for the first time and my jaw just hanging open. I liked her giving the song a little more edge. It fit perfect for the live performance. She's one of the very few celebrities I'd actually be interested in meeting.

Performances like this make me believe that some people are just touched by the Gods and have the capability of going somewhere else, and getting completely lost in the crowd and music when performing. True, she's sounded better, but the energy of this performance makes it one of the best VMA performances of all time, in my opinion.

She looked great but she was not in good voice. Very raspy and she constantly cuts her high notes short. She embraced it and worked it because she's a great performance. But if you just listen to it rather than watch it, it's kind of painful. I actually think this song took a huge toll on Kelly's voice and it hasn't been the same since.

@gduque03 You've obviously never listened to active rock/metal/80s rock/Alternative metal before. Her voice is not screwed up because of the screaming. It's actually just matured and gotten lower. A female's voice doesn't fully mature until almost 40. She's actually more of an Alto now rather than Mezzo-Soprano like she used to be. I think the rasp adds to her voice rather than subtracting from it. Its not that bad. If you wanna hear a REAL raspy voice go look up Bette Davis Eyes by Kim Carnes!!

Yeah her vocals may have not been their best that night (which is due to her being on tour during this, recovering from walking phenomena) The girl still kicked ass like always, had kick ass stage presence like always. This is one of the top 5 VMA performances of all time. Unlike Britney & Christina, who lip synced Kelly sang live. I respect & like Britney & Christina but Kelly was still better than them.
