Well yeah evil vampires tend to not love. I actually like it like that. Vampires should be evil like that. Call me old fashioned. Spike with a soul is basically human.
I love the little anecdote James tells about Sarah, it's funny, they both were a really great couple on the show, there was chemistry between them :))

If you are not a Spuffy fan, or James fan, that's fine, but why are you even commenting on this clip? It has nothing to do with Angel as a character at all. When Buffy came down into the basement to meet Spike, Joss said he wanted the viewer to decide what happened and I think they made slow sweet love. Buffy did have Spike in her heart in season 7, you don't lay in someones arms and rub your hands over their arms without a lot of feelings there. I loved Angelus, not so fond of Angel..guess I just love the bad boys.lol

IMHO, Buffy is the best TV series ever on TV and Spike was the best character. I did love Angelus, not so much Angel, way to broody for my taste, but Angelus was so HOT. I liked Spike because he was happy with who he was most of the time. If James Marsters is in a show I will be there watching, loved him in Torchwood and he does the audio books of The Dresden Files and with all his accents and voices it is like a whole cast reading the book.

When you have a life like Buffy's, you should try and have as many normal things as you can. She was capable of having a relationship with a human. Riley in the long run, was actually the best thing for her.

How does he suck in s5 & s6? He loves Buffy and he tries so hard to be the man she deserves even though he doesnt have a soul and hes still just a vampire but he wants to be better for her. Yeh hes hot so angel but thats not the only reason to love spike. I love both of them and theyre both great actors.
Oh, I'd like to add - in the earlier seasons when they were enemies they were saying to each other not very pleasant things, but In S7 Spike and Buffy were in love! I recommend you to re-watch the episodes - Touched, Beneath You, Chosen to hear what exactly Spike was saying to her. Spike was ever on Buffy's side and he changed because or her, earned his soul because of her and sacrificed his life for her. And she believed in him and loved him back - they were a couple!The best one!
And what did Angel for her... hurt her and left her. Spike loved her even without a soul. I'm not against Bangel - it was Buffy's first love - the love of 16 year old girl, but Spike was her true love - an adult love. In the end she choose him for her champion, not Angel. What she said to Angel before to send him back to LA - "Spike's in my heart now!" And she spent the last night before the battle with the man who was really in love - with SPIKE!

In S7 she said that she loved Angel more than she will ever love anything in this life. She was no longer a 16 year old girl, so that argument is pretty invalid. Besides, this has nothing to do with Buffy and Angel, who btw, left her because he wanted her to be able to have a normal relationship. She needed Angel to back her up. He couldn't do that in Sunnydale.

Actually I have never been hurt in the past. I just don't like Spuffy. I have many Spuffy friends and I really do not dislike Spuffies. I just dislike the ones who clearly only like the relationship because of Spike.
Sometimes love is pain. It is not all roses and candlelight, especially in Buffyverse. If all you see is abuse, then you are not seeing the whole picture. Spike and Buffy were counterparts in every way.
The reason why so many people like the Spike and Buffy story is because it is about the struggle to love and feel worthy of that love. To trust that there is someone out there that will love you at your best and worst. A slayer with abandonment issues that shut herself off from love and a Vampire that loved with everything in him, but never got it in return, somehow found each other. That is an epic story.
Yep there were moments when they tore each other down, but there were also moments when they built each other up. She helped him come into the light, to want to be a better man for her and eventually for himself....to get his soul restored. He awakened a part of her that she thought was long dead. He repaired what Angel broke when he turned into Angelus that fateful night. Buffy was never able to tell another man she loved him after Angel left her.
She worried about it, went on a quest to get that part of her back...and yet nothing. She felt herself dead inside and incapable of deep emotional connection. Then there was Spike, always loving her, never leaving her, patient and and desperately trying to get her to see, that everything she was and did was love.
Her final words of the show... "I love you:...and later "Spike"....proved that she was on the road to healing, that she wasn't dead, that she was able to love and say the words. Spike closed the Hellmouth and opened Buffy's heart. Great love transforms...and that is what happened with Spike and Buffy...
There is a reason for season 6. Season 6 was about the MONSTERS that humans can be. Xander, WIllow, and Buffy along with the nerds were the Big Bad that season. The Scoobies inflicted more harm that season than any demon that year. Youtube is not the place to debate Buffy imagery and allegory. There is so much more to the episodes than what can be gleaned from superficial viewing. The show encompasses greek mythology, folk lore, human psychology...too much to get into here.

Plus she needed back-up. If they couldn't stop it, maybe Angel could have pulled something off.

How does he suck in s5 & s6? He loves Buffy and he tries so hard to be the man she deserves even though he doesnt have a soul and hes still just a vampire but he wants to be better for her. Yeh hes hot so angel but thats not the only reason to love spike. I love both of them and theyre both great actors.

Oh, I'd like to add - in the earlier seasons when they were enemies they were saying to each other not very pleasant things, but In S7 Spike and Buffy were in love! I recommend you to re-watch the episodes - Touched, Beneath You, Chosen to hear what exactly Spike was saying to her. Spike was ever on Buffy's side and he changed because or her, earned his soul because of her and sacrificed his life for her. And she believed in him and loved him back - they were a couple!The best one!

And what did Angel for her... hurt her and left her. Spike loved her even without a soul. I'm not against Bangel - it was Buffy's first love - the love of 16 year old girl, but Spike was her true love - an adult love. In the end she choose him for her champion, not Angel. What she said to Angel before to send him back to LA - "Spike's in my heart now!" And she spent the last night before the battle with the man who was really in love - with SPIKE!

In S7 she said that she loved Angel more than she will ever love anything in this life. She was no longer a 16 year old girl, so that argument is pretty invalid. Besides, this has nothing to do with Buffy and Angel, who btw, left her because he wanted her to be able to have a normal relationship. She needed Angel to back her up. He couldn't do that in Sunnydale.

OMG you mean, he said something mean to the person he loves?! That's unheard of!! In real life, we never offend or hurt the people we love! It's all sunshine and daisies!! Sarcasm anyone?! You clearly hate Spike, and your whole argument about him is that not many other people do. That must bother you, but get over it. It's not cuz he's hot. I have never seen a man on tv love a woman more than he loved Buffy. Real love isn't a fairytale. It's messy sometimes. Spuffy is a real love.

I don't hate Spike. I dislike post Buffy-whipped Spike. They ruined a good character.
Spuffy is real love? You have no idea what 'love' is They had sex, beat each other up and made each other miserable. The only time they were ok was in S7.
I said that love isn't perfect. Thanks for ignoring that. I know that people who love each other can hurt each other, but that is no excuse for what Spike did.

Wow thanks for telling me what I do and don't know of love. Gee I forgot how well we know each other!! Look, it doesn't take a psychology major (though I am one) to tell that you clearly have issues that you are projecting onto a fictional couple. I don't know if you have been hurt in the past in some way, and I am sincerely sorry if you have, but attacking Spuffy shippers shouldn't be your outlet.

Actually I have never been hurt in the past. I just don't like Spuffy. I have many Spuffy friends and I really do not dislike Spuffies. I just dislike the ones who clearly only like the relationship because of Spike.

Sometimes love is pain. It is not all roses and candlelight, especially in Buffyverse. If all you see is abuse, then you are not seeing the whole picture. Spike and Buffy were counterparts in every way.

The reason why so many people like the Spike and Buffy story is because it is about the struggle to love and feel worthy of that love. To trust that there is someone out there that will love you at your best and worst. A slayer with abandonment issues that shut herself off from love and a Vampire that loved with everything in him, but never got it in return, somehow found each other. That is an epic story.

Yep there were moments when they tore each other down, but there were also moments when they built each other up. She helped him come into the light, to want to be a better man for her and eventually for himself....to get his soul restored. He awakened a part of her that she thought was long dead. He repaired what Angel broke when he turned into Angelus that fateful night. Buffy was never able to tell another man she loved him after Angel left her.

She worried about it, went on a quest to get that part of her back...and yet nothing. She felt herself dead inside and incapable of deep emotional connection. Then there was Spike, always loving her, never leaving her, patient and and desperately trying to get her to see, that everything she was and did was love.

Her final words of the show... "I love you:...and later "Spike"....proved that she was on the road to healing, that she wasn't dead, that she was able to love and say the words. Spike closed the Hellmouth and opened Buffy's heart. Great love transforms...and that is what happened with Spike and Buffy...

There is a reason for season 6. Season 6 was about the MONSTERS that humans can be. Xander, WIllow, and Buffy along with the nerds were the Big Bad that season. The Scoobies inflicted more harm that season than any demon that year. Youtube is not the place to debate Buffy imagery and allegory. There is so much more to the episodes than what can be gleaned from superficial viewing. The show encompasses greek mythology, folk lore, human psychology...too much to get into here.
